Best weather possible, but will it matter?

High of 18 Friday, nighttime low of 2! Lots of wind.
High of 30 Saturday, nightime low of 23, light breeze
35 and rain all Sunday, 10-20 winds.

When temperature is under 40, dome teams are 3-25 in the playoffs.

Are we up for this?

Re: Best weather possible, but will it matter?

It will be tough for us as we are a dome team but the thing to remember is that this is now a one lose and season over scenario. So we should be pulling out all the stops and playing our best and giving 100% all of the time, which will hopefully get us the win!

Play the way we are capable of playing and the super bowl is within sight. Play sloppy, get down early and we are in for a long offseason.

I love it

What better way to silence the critics

Win this one, green bay wins
You play in Carolina Weather can be quite nice

Win this one San Fran wins
We play in Seattle. Weather iffy

So this is our worst weather game unless Green Bay runs the table
Beats San Fran and Seattle (highly unlikely)
Which would mean we would play Eagles, Carolina, Green Bay
Cold, warm, deep freeze

Re: Best weather possible, but will it matter?

What's the Feagles record with temps in the 20s? Yes, they have to play under the same conditions, last time I checked.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but we play Seattle no matter what... #1 seed plays the lowest remaining seed which would be us if we beat the Iggles.

I think we are. I just can't imagine that makes the difference. Once you start running around you're warm. I imagine that if there is no wind then it all comes down to protecting Drew. I just think if given time he can get after their backend.

Re: Best weather possible, but will it matter?

Drew has played in colder weather in college and in the nfl (nfcc in Chicago) I'm sure we will be prepared and our kicker is also familiar with cold. Long as we try and contain Shady + limit turnovers/ 3 and outs we can squeek by.

Their forecast has been trending earlier than forecasted.

I expect 42F and showers.

As long as the wind isn't gusting, I'm not too worried...

Re: Best weather possible, but will it matter?

We are up for it. We have lost too many on the road for the sun not to shine on our arses. The odds are in our favor. I expect the team to come out like its a new season and cant wait to win on the road to shut up the naysayers.

BTW **** you Cris Collensworthless

Re: Best weather possible, but will it matter?

this horse is dead, but I'll give a few more shots:

We don't lose on the road because of the weather:

-Against NE and Car we had two possessions under two minutes, couldn't finish
-Against the Jets and Seahawks, weather was not the reason we lost: incredibly bad execution and preparation were
-I don't believe weather affected us against a backup QB in St. Louis either
-However, in Tampa & Chicago, where weather did have an impact, we won

The game is Saturday not Sunday, sadly.

Come on they just said 25 degrees how much confidence do you have in us winning this game really. This is running game weather oh damn we have no running game.

We are the Saints, I expect temperatures in the lower teens, snow, sleet, rain, and gale force winds.

You know its gonna happen.

Did you catch the part about the weather trending earlier than the forecast?

That would put Sundays weather on Saturday.

Same type weather here in Salt Lake.

I've been drinking beer and watching bowl games on the back deck to get conditioned to it.

I'm telling the true our backs average less than 20 carries a game combined. I know it's more on Payton for not running the ball more but that's just his play call throw, throw oh and throw.

I have a pretty good bit if trust in three things.

1. We can and have won with out running.

2. If anyone here could reliably determine the outcome of NFL games on a consistent basis, they would have a job with every Las Vegas Casino and enough cash to attend ALL Saints games.

3. Since number two has yet to surface, I'll wait and watch the game to see how it actually plays out.

Well then; according to you we've already lost. No need for you to log back in until next season...

Re: Best weather possible, but will it matter?

The thing is the temperature starts warming all Saturday into Sunday. It is actually (strange as it is) that the game is later because it will actually be warmer as the game goes on. How do I know this? Because the low on Sunday is higher than the high n Saturday

Beastmode 01-02-2014 03:29 PM

Re: Best weather possible, but will it matter?

Home teams lose 41% of the time. After Saturday it will be 41.001337 or something like that barring all other games except this one.

Not sure. We just got close enough for the forecast to start showing the hourly on Sat.

What I posted shows what we should see as game time temps and wind.

I may be up for my living room. Hell no about slumming at the Linc. In case anyone was wondering, the vomitous mass of cheese steak, beer, and desperation that is philly is unbearable under 50 degrees, and lethal under 30.

I just wonder..... do you think "vomitous" to be part of the Iggles Fans' vocabulary? I would have thought them to possess more of a simpleton's four letter vernacular.
