Personally, I hope they don't take us seriously. But, I think they will.

I think we go into Seattle and take care of business this time. I just think we will -- I think we will have their number this time and we have a run game!! Oh yea...

We only need to win there ONCE this year.

Re: Think we have the PEDhawks attention?

Well they won't have game film to prepare for because we definitely didn't show anything in that game up there. I predicted before the loss that we would split with them and rather lose the regular season and win the playoff game any freaking day of the week!!!

Re: Think we have the PEDhawks attention?

We need to get the turnovers and penalties cleaned up. The false starts and that White PI call ( he got owned ). That Watson false start call was crap -- but still -- we don't need to beat ourselves. Without that call we might have scored a TD.

Drew needs to stop trying to win the game by himself -- stop forcing the damn ball.

Re: Think we have the PEDhawks attention?

I think the PEDhawks are definitely gonna watch that part of the game after Keenan Lewis went down.....and the shots of Sweeting with the "deer in the headlights" look...and then they'll decide NOT to attack him on every play, LOL.

I'm trying to slow people's roll here....folks, every single issue we had all year long, except Hartley, was THERE in that game tonight.... we just were better coached all around, and barely won by a hair on a FG on the last play of the game. If we'd won by 10 points or more, I'd be bouncing off the walls tonight, but....the teams get better and the weather gets weirder and the coaching on the other sideline gets tougher....

Lots left to prove....

A win is a win! Remember, we can't win on the road and in the cold... Every Saints fan should be "rolling" to see the team that struggled in the face of adversity on the road during the regular season fight through it and get the win when it mattered! Will only help to strengthen the team!

Slow our roll?!?!?!?!?! Why in the JHC do we need you here then? You can join the chrous of media and other teams and other teams fans who tried to slow our roll all week this week.

I tell you one thing that was different tonight than in any other game:
WE WON ON THE ROAD OUTSIDE THE DAMN DOME IN 26F WEATHER, BRO.

So, our roll be jus' fine, thank you very much.

Danno, how do you do that eyeroll thing?

We beat Seattle for a rematch and get SF in Cali for a rematch .. that's what I see. We need perfection to beat Seattle maybe we should call arizona and ask what's the secret.

Nice game guys your defense was good and you ran the ball! Don't expect the latter next week.:)

I don't think we expected that this week. :)

That being said, Philly's had a better run defense this season than Seattle's.

Philly 3.8 yards per attempt
Seattle 3.9 yards per attempt

So maybe the Saints will do even better next week.

Re: Think we have the PEDhawks attention?

We didn't even play our "A" game last night and still won on the road in sub-freezing temps. We got beat in the turnover battle, too. I actually have confidence in our road team, as our defense just held that potent PHI offense to less than 300 yards at home. If I have confidence, a dude that's been watching for over 3 decades and know just how bad this team can be, imagine the players' confidence.

It is hard to beat any team twice in a year, even if both are at home, especially with an embarrassment on MNF. SEA's defense gives up rushing yards, even at home. We just ran for over 180 yards against the 10th best rushing defense in the NFL at 104.4 per game; SEA is 7th at 101.6 per game.

In SEA, we must be patient with the run; the run will happen with patience. We've all seen Brees get rattled in the 1st half of road games, and this one in SEA will be no exception. After that first turnover by him on MNF up there, it was so obvious that he was rattled the rest of the game.

Run it down there freakin' throats. Run early and often. If it costs us a few 3-and-outs, so be it. Our defense can flat out play, let them play. Putting our defense on a short field in the 1st half after a Brees pick or a strip sack is the absolute worst thing that can can happen up there.

If Seattle beats this team twice this year they deserve the 1 seed. Helps the saints were just there a few weeks ago.

Re: Think we have the PEDhawks attention?

PEDHawks fans are already looking over us, if you peruse their forums. We will do much better, of course. There are countless examples of teams winning in a rematch after a hard loss in the first matchup. We do need Keenan to play, however, if we are to win this game.

Mardigras9 01-05-2014 09:28 AM

Re: Think we have the PEDhawks attention?

They are definitely not concerned, they are way cocky and have already beat our ass once. All good for us.
No one will expect us to win this game, so really all pressure is on them.

I hope you don't expect that the 1st game we played your Seahawks will be the same, because it want!! Payton was embarrassed and Carroll was cocky, Carroll want be so cocky and Payton want be embarrassed again. It's on!!

Re: Think we have the PEDhawks attention?

It's just their fans that are cocky and probably Richard Sherman (kid doesn't have a humble bone in his body). The rest of that team probably isn't overlooking us and knows we will show up way more than we did before.

Re: Think we have the PEDhawks attention?

I'm hoping the win in Philly obliterated Brees' s mental road block. Like I kept saying, the defense is great regardless. The offense looks good. Everybody is fine but Drew. So if we continue to ride Ingram and Robinson, no Pierre Thomas, we can do this easily.

Re: Think we have the PEDhawks attention?

The seahawks, probably are not looking past us, now their fans,,,yes they are definitely looking past us. They will be prepared, we will have to play our "A" game. 2 picks like Drew threw yesterday would have a far more devastating effect than they did yesterday, guaranteed. Can't do it, we have to play error free, and continue to play similar to yesterday. But I feel as though Coach Ryan saved our bacon, once again. Great team defensive effort, and the job by the O Line was sweet. I'm sure the seahawk coaching staff is more concerned than their fan base.

I'm not sure about the trying to win the game by himself, I thought he was really trying to force the issue a lot of the times. In his defense, Kenny stills underestimated Brees, and gave up running on the first int. Brees badly under threw sproles. A little trust goes a long way, White and Sweeting an admirable job given the circumstances. The loss of Lewis in this game cannot be underestimated.

Re: Think we have the PEDhawks attention?

Seahawk fan..come in peace. Im a long time Seahawk fan, back to the 70s so Ive always had a soft spot for teams that went through years of agony as well, so the Saints have always been one of my "back up" teams...

I enjoyed watching the game last night and will be at the game this Saturday and expect a good one.

A couple of questions.. and I dont mean it in a bad way since, lets face it, we are ALL homers..thats the fun of being a fan! but...

1) do people really think that your team was purposefully vanilla the first game? there were jokes about that on seahawks.net where I am a member but I didnt believe it..til I saw it referenced here. That loss helped you guys slide from #2 to a wild card position.. I just have a hard time believing that your coaches would do that. I do think they came out with a bad match up of game plans and expect it to be corrected this game.

2) The Saints have improved the running game, but I see a lot of reasoning that yesterday you ran for a 180 yards, and the Seahawks give up .1 yard more per rush than the Eagles so youll be able to do it again. If we are going on 1 game samples..the Seahawks last game gave up 15 yards rushing. 15. Midseason our run defense had some issues but those apparently have been corrected. I do agree though that the Saints should not give up too soon on the running game..Ingram is getting better and its just not a good idea to throw too much against Seattle.

3. Final one..for all the people saying "its hard to beat a team twice a year".. if the Saints had won the first game, would you honestly still be predicting a loss then?

Anyway, looking forward to a good game. I was really happy for the Saints when they got their Super Bowl win..hope the Seahawks can get that monkey off our back this year!

None from the last time we faced you... Lewis looked to have a very minor concussion and has already tweeted he's playing... Parys Haralson may be lost with a torn pectoral muscle, but he was only a part-time roll player in our 3-4 sets, so we can manage without him

If anyone can beat them it's us.

We need a strong outing from our defense and Drew has to be on his best game. 0 turnovers

Did Vaccaro play in the game against them? Greer?

I am excited to see what Harvin brings to the table since we didn't have him last time around. Hoping he can take advantage of your injured secondary. Which guys are expected to be missing next week?

This is a hard game for us to win. You guys are solid throughout, especially both of your lines.

Hoping we stay close and squeak one out and I don't care how we do it or if we get lucky. You guys will be amped for this game

Greer was injured in the 49ers game, so no... Vaccaro did slip my mind though; I like what I've seen from Bush however

That's right about Greer, I knew Vaccaro also missed a game or to this year couldn't remember when that was (before his season ending injury)
