What's up with Nick Toon??
 

Does this guy have a role on our team. I guess my expectations were much greater for this guy. I thought he would be a mini Colston. I know Stills is shinning but these are two different type of receivers.

If Joe Morgan comes back I wonder if he makes the squad next year. It seems Toon has the ability to play but is just not as active as I would like to see?

he just cant get into the game. kenny stills is definitely better. granted kenny messes up some routes, but, he's a better reciever.

I sure wish that Stills would reach his hands out to catch the ball instead of catching it with his chest. He needs to learn how to attack the ball like Megatron.

he's going to continue to develop. i think the ceiling is pretty high for this kid.

Toon had a bad game against the Jets, but that's not enough to write him off. He's a gameday scratch because he's sitting behind Meachem, Colston, Moore, Graham and Stills on the depth chart. It's also worth noting that Moore and Colston are both 30 while Meachem is 29.

I just don't think the staff has enough faith in him to give him many targets.
I think Stills came in and impressed a lot more than they expected him too in his first year and earned his role more than
Toon. I don't see Toon back. I think Morgan takes a bigger role.

I seen him in st louis yelled his name he looked at me and and said whats up and smiled.. So i guess he content with his role

He has had other drops before the jets game, its like he trys too hard and he always diving for the ball when its not necessary

It looks like the game is still too fast for him.
Mistimed jumps, drops, he just doesn't look ready yet. He might come on next year.

Nick Toons drop rate is %42... There is no decimal in there.
Next highest Drop rate is Lance Moore %9.7 There is a decimal in there.

Toon is the reason Toon doesn't get targets.

tell you i swear SP will go for him. SP loves the a weapon like him. even though i do like Jarvis Landry more. i love his route running and his mental attitude. IMO he is the more polished of the two

as for toon, you drop easy passes you aint going to play. i am surprised but he does not deserve to be on the field right now

I wouldn't get too down on Toon yet. He had a bad game against the Jets but he has too much ability to write him when he is essentially a rookie. Remember Meachem didn't do anything until 3rd season. Same for Lance Moore.
