Payton declines to predict whether Lewis will play Saturday
There’s no new news to report on the health of one of the Saints’ key secondary players.
Asked Sunday whether he believed cornerback Keenan Lewis would be ready for Saturday’s divisional-round game at Seattle, coach Sean Payton declined to make a prediction. “We’ll keep you guys posted on any of our players,” Payton said on a conference call with media, according to an interview transcript from the club. Lewis, who has started every game this season, left Saturday’s win at Philadelphia with what the team called a head injury. A New Orleans native, the 27-year-old Lewis has intercepted a career-high four passes for the Saints, with whom he signed in free agency last offseason. He'll play. And SP will keep it close to the vest and I doubt we EVER hear he's any better than questionable, but he will play...

If they took half of Lewis' brain out on the operating table today Payton would never tell. Very standard stuff here. Let's hope we never get a straight answer, he comes in "doubtful" and plays 4 quarters.
