Saints make roster moves, use Seahawks logo as motivation

The New Orleans Saints placed linebacker Parys Haralson on injured reserve Tuesday.

Acquired late in the preseason in a trade with the 49ers for a late-round conditional draft choice, Haralson tore a pectoral muscle during the second quarter of Saturday's 26-24 playoff win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

In 16 games including eight starts this season for the Saints, Haralson registered 3 1/2 sacks and 31 total tackles.

The Saints signed safety Jordan Pugh, who appeared in four games with the Washington Redskins this season, recording two solo tackles and one interception of Payton Manning in a Washington loss at Denver.

New Orleans also waived safety Isa Abdul-Quddus but did not indicate how the other opening on the 53-man roster will be filled.
