Centurylink Crowd Noise

Here is my thunked on it.

Season Tickets end with week 17s game. So season ticket holders will have to buy new tickets at a much higher price. The blow article states that Seattle playoff tickets are the most expensive in the NFL AVE $416/ticket and box seats going in the neighborhood of $2000 a piece.
Seahawks-Saints tickets are most expensive of the playoffs - Seattle Seahawks & NFL News

For the most part it will probably be the same crowd but a large % of the Seahawks crowd will not. This could play in our favor as just the slightest drop in decibel level will help our offensive communications on the field.

I like your positive spin on this, but I think you're reaching a bit. You are saying the people that pay more for tix will be quieter? It will be loud, maybe not as loud as the first match up, but loud non the less.

Re: Centurylink Crowd Noise

I think they will be quieter...people that can afford that (and those are probably ****ty seats) are usually not the louder type...more like "golf clapping".

Quickest way to quiet a crowd??
Points and Stops..We come out confident in our game plan..We handle business!

I think they'll be quieter because they already stomped our ass just 6 weeks ago. They proved they are a badass team and don't have to prove it again.

Now we're back and I'll bet there are a lot more nervousness about it this time. I think more worry = less noise.

Basically they blew their wad in the 1st game.

What I am saying is that people that can only afford a $75 ticket and people that can afford a $400 ticket are perhaps a little different LOL. Some guy that just shelled out $800 for tickets for he and his date is going to care more about not getting thrown out that a guy that dropped $150 for a pair of tickets.

The $400 crowd is possibly a little less likely to show up drunk and scream their heads off. They also cant afford as much beer during the game :)

Absolute worst fan I have ever sat by was some Jackwagon that bought his ticket off of Craigslist for $35.

There is also a huge Corporate Entertainment market for post season tickets and no one acts the arse in front of their customers. You will get the same celebrationafter a TD but hopefully not as much noise pre-snap.

I hope you are right, but it WAS a playoff game crowd in 2010 that showed up on the Richter scale when Lynch made his run.

Re: Centurylink Crowd Noise

I agree! Just like any other stadium , if we come out and get up on them by a couple of scores , then the crowd will not be a factor . Just got to play solid Saints football and we can do it!!

Re: Centurylink Crowd Noise

I think it will be quieter because of:
1. game time, 1:30 local
2. rain- harder to clap and stomp wet hands and feet
3. in their minds they have already won; why bother yelling about it?
4. wind- the 45 mph winds will carry their voices into Puget Sound

Re: Centurylink Crowd Noise

Yea I think that's a reach.. if I pay 400 I will cheer even louder and majority won't be saints fans so it still won't help.

Not worried about the fans that weather is something else

I was at the Lynch-ing a couple years back. At that time it was the loudest game EVER. Anywhere. May still be.

This one will be no different because the Seahawks have never been the number one seed.

Just RUN the ball. Crowd noise cannot dampen a strong running game.

I don't think they'll be any quieter.

Most of the Pedhawks fans think this game is just a formality before they play the whiners.

To them this game is more of a party than a football game.

Re: Centurylink Crowd Noise

I don't think it will be as loud. Crowds are loud in games perceived as tough. But they're all expecting a stomp-job. We all know when the Saints are heavily favored in games the dome isn't quite as loud, going to be the same thing here.

NFL tickets have gone up considerably since 2010, and so has the demand for Seahawk tickets.

Seahawks fan. I think some of you are thinking correctly it may be dimmed a bit, but it is going to be loud. Very, very loud.

As a Saints fan though, you probably shouldn't worry that much. They will have schemed around the noise for the most part. Most teams figure that out. There will be struggles for the Saints when things get weird, like if they are trying to hurry up a play worrying about a challenge, or the play clock gets messed up due to a reff'ing error.

The biggest disadvantage will be for the Offensive Tackles, it always is because they have to look in at the ball instead of hearing the snap count. They lose a half-step due to that, especially on pass plays when Seattle puts in the "NASCAR" formation. Which is basically the front 6 or 7 is D-Ends and linebackers with no D Tackles.

If the level drops they just pipe it back i trough the PA system as usual.

What mostly hurt us in the first game was the crowd noise. Success of offenses or defenses does not hinge on how you line up when coming out of the huddle. It depends on how you adjust to what you see from the break of the huddle until the snap of the ball. Drew had a difficult time conveying audibles and play changes pre-snap. Drew had a delay of game because of it.

Re: Centurylink Crowd Noise

The noise will differ because:
1. The noise of howling wind at 31 mph
2. The intermitten yelps of the beerman shouting "anybody, anybody? you must have some money left for a beer?"

I think you have it here. Just how much does the rain affect the crowd noise if the SeaHags fans are gargling rain in their throats.

Here's to going out and stomping a mud hole in their arse!

I imagine that the Saints will have figured out line calls this time around.

Brees is great at stepping forward in the pocket, which neutralizes the speed Seattle brings from the edge. Just watch the matchups with the O-Tackles, you will see how unfair it is to play with the noise. You Saints probably remember Michael Bennett, he was a Buc for a while. He is ballin' for the Hawks and is probably the most dangerous rusher on the team because of his ability to stop and spin back into the play. He will be going against your right tackle mostly. Chris Clemons can't even get on the field for Seattle anymore.

I have no real response to any of this, but I just want to say thanks for coming here and not being a jerkface. :)

When was the last time the lovely NFL scheduled Seattle to play in New Orleans in the regular season? I mean, I am truly looking forward to the opportunity to show Seasquawk fans the same wonderful hospitality that has been shown to our team in Seattle. ;) And our season tickets are just behind the visitor's benches on the 2nd row up, 42ish yard line. When we played the Forty Whiners, we were all yelling at Kaopectate, and you could see him flinch. ;) ;) ;)

It was raining the last time too.

My friend in Seattle (who I lost the bet to last game) told me that Seagull fans are selling tickets left and right ! Some of the theories put forth here could be spot on!

The Saints need to win this one. Half of my family lives in Washington and I talked so much smack the first game, and boy did I hear it. If we win the game that matters I will have my way with them and love every second of it.

Re: Centurylink Crowd Noise

No worries. Whatever noise the crowd doesn't produce will be countered by the stadium's VA system.
