Our first playoff game was b/c HAKIM DROPPED THE BALL.
The Championship season was great but remember, the league changed the rules because we BEAT BRETT FAVRE in OT…
Then hit us with BountyGate… Leaving me with a feeling like we got lucky.

There are more that I choose to forget…
But the fact remains… We deserve a signature win.
NO QUESTIONS asked.
This is another game we AREN'T supposed to win. The Colts game was SUPER, but the odds were never THIS stacked against us.
I hope our boys pull it through. It's self serving...
For all the years my Saints gear was laughed at…

But then again, as Clint Eastwood wrote in "The Unforgiven"
"Deserved's got nothing to do with it."
So I wish our boys good luck… They play for more than is in they game plan.

We owe SEA. NFL channel did a segement on the loss in the 2011 playoff game -- where they talked about the Skittles run registering on the Richter scale as an earthquake. It was humiliating. We owe Seattle. If it is AT ALL possible for this team to beat them, I can assure you we will.

I don't think it as much as owing them as much as it is assuring our own nerve packed nation that the future is bright.... This is a statement I would love for them to make....

When Hakim dropped the ball, and yelled so loud that my baby son, who was sitting next to the TV, burst into tears. He's 17 now and watches games with me still. I think that's a very Saints - fan way to grow up.

In '09 I felt like we "deserved" more than history gave us.

This year I think the team owes it to themselves to go out and execute to their abilities.

Do that, we silence a lot of critics.

No such thing as "due" or "deserved". There is only what you take as lee909 said. As far as for all of the whining I hear from fans of most teams (including ours) that they do not get this "respect"..

They deserve where they are now. They went auto pilot for a couple of games. It was bad enough that two players had their plugs pulled. If not for that meltdown we would not be in this situation. They recovered just enough to get another shot at Seattle which they earned. The only people I have empathy for are Payton and Ryan. Both of them have dealt with some serious bs in the NFL but kept their heads up.

I dont think we deserve this win more than any other team. Seattle has played very strong all year and deserve it too. We have made A LOT of bad mistakes this year. Mistakes usually dont result in rewards. A lot of stupid penalties, turnovers, and so forth and so on. The team that deserves it the most is the team that wants it the most and plays the best game they can play. Lets just hope we can do that. I think we can.

Deserve this win? No.

We deserve to be playing in this game. Whether we deserve to win or not will be determined by how we play. We can start by actually getting off the bus, which I think we failed to do last time around.

I really think one of the problems this year is ego on the offensive side of the ball. They ruled the NFL offensively for years. They need to stop saying " I think everytime we touch the ball we should get a touchdown" , and earn every point.
Love the boys, think the slap in the face in the seahawks game might have woken them up offensively, but we only desurve to be there nothing else.

I just think it's because our line isn't getting the job done. Brees isn't getting the time he is used to in order to pick a defense apart. He has to force it a little and it leads to errant throws and timing issues. In years passed you knew every time he was able to step forward in the pocket it was going to be a huge play. I haven't seen that this year.
