Saints outfitted with special helmet speakers.
 

Per NFL network the saints have replaced their old speakers with louder more efficient speakers in the helmets to help better hear during the game. Im thinking that they help us like I heard the commentators say eagles players get the plays called to them in their helmets so they don't have to huddle. Not sure but all I know is I hope it helps.

Two guys on the field have speakers. QB and LB.

I think it's less about the plays and more about the checkdowns and calls at the line by Brees

I'd really like more information on this subject. Anybody have more information? I thought there were only two players that have headphones and mics in their helmet. QB and captain of the defense.

What does the green dot on the back of the quarterback's helmet mean?
The green dot signifies a helmet with a communication device for receiving plays from the sideline. Only quarterbacks may wear them, and only one player with such a helmet may be on the field at a given time. A backup quarterback entering the game while the starting quarterback remains on the field must wear an alternate helmet without a radio device.
