Re: DOES THE SEARCH BEGIN FOR A NEW KICKER

Shayne Graham has played for practically EVERY team in the NFL at one time or another. That tells me that he wasn't good enough to stick around long-term with any team.

We need another place kicker... although not because of the Seattle game. Graham is just not consistent enough (neither is Hartley).

I don't know how consistant Carpenter is but the guy has a he!! of a leg. He kicked for the Dolphins also. Outside kicker.

The laces kick and kicking the 48 yarder into the gale wind. Another big position to be dealt with in the off-season. Do we cultivate a rookie or go back to the veteran pool or keep Graham.

I don't think Graham was brought in with the intent to make him our kicker going into next season. I just think they brought in who they could in a desperate situation and he was the only option they felt was out there. Graham is old and does not have the leg that he used to. They just wanted someone who could consistently make the chip shots for the rest of the season. We will have younger meat next year. I just hope its not in the draft.

Who is out there coming out of the college ranks that'd be worth a draft pick?

Danno, you're not allowed to answer this:-)

What is the % of drafted kickers that make the team? I can only think of Morten Andersen.
