Tell the truth!!
Did you really believe the Saints were going to beat the Seahawks?
|
Re: Tell the truth!!
Yes I absolutely believed it before the game. And when we clawed our way back to just being down 16-8 with plenty of time left, I believed it.
|
Re: Tell the truth!!
I believed the Saints were CAPABLE of winning this game, but deep down, with our road playoff history I fully expected the Saints to lose this game.
Right now, on the road, Seattle is one of those teams that has the Saints number. I fully believe that they play fast and loose with the rules, especially with Pete Carroll as HC. I can't wait to get their little chickenshyt a$$es in the Superdome next year. I hope we get up 63-0 with :01 left in the 4th quarter on their 1 yd line and we run it in!! |

Yes, I thought the Saints could win. I thought they would have learned enough from the first trip that they could've changed the outcome. Almost. |
Re: Tell the truth!!
Si.
Even though we started slow out of the gate, I thought we would defeat the Sea chickens in their backyard. |
Re: Tell the truth!!
Absolutely!

Re: Tell the truth!!
There was an awful lot of Kool Aid being passed around and guzzled after that Philly win. Payton/Brees are 1-4 on the road in the playoffs. Cannot emphasize it enough, that's who the team is. If you look into it a little more deeply, most of that "second best road record since 2009" came from wins accumulated prior to 2012, over two years ago. I mean of course you want to believe that any time Drew is on the field we theoretically have a shot, but...that's all I'm saying on the matter.

Tell the truth!!
Isn't being a fan the same as being a Koolaid drinker? I honestly thought we had a shot to destroy them. Silly me.
|
Re: Tell the truth!!
I honestly thought we were going to win it. I just thought we were going to find a way I really did.

Re: Tell the truth!!
I thought after the way Payton looked after the !st game we played them if we got a 2nd shot we would kill them, I was wrong but it was a decent game and not a blowout.

Re: Tell the truth!!
We were simply not the same team on the road as we were in the Dome in 2013.
There were no possibilities I could imagine in mind of us going all the way after the first Seahawk game which sealed our fate. With that said, had the Superbowl somehow gone through the Dome, then the Saints would go all the way, at least to NY. It's just the nature of the beast and we are literally that good at home. How we ended up playing in Seattle and how we hung in there and struck fear in the eyes of the Seahawks did something to this team. I think we will be hungry and prepared for a huge run next year. |
Re: Tell the truth!!
I deep down, honestly believed that we could win that game if Sean Payton kept it together coaching-wise.
If we didn't try and get cute with the screen plays. |
Re: Tell the truth!!
I believed we could win it. I thought we had learned our lesson the first time around, & had studied them -- I thought we had a good chance. I thought it would be our "Superbowl" and if we won, we would go to the SuperBowl and win. Looking back, now I think that was way optimistic, especially, the winning the SuperBowl part.
Now, I think that if the Seahawks get into the SB, they will lose. Live by the 12th man sword, die by it. |
Re: Tell the truth!!
I believed we could win but wasn't going to be surprised if we blew it.
|
Re: Tell the truth!!
Yep. Thought we'd win.
Seattle scored their first 13 points by going 78yds on 17 plays... We truly have the game away. Defense played it's best game. Offense, once again, sputtered and stalled. |
Re: Tell the truth!!
I knew we could if we limited mistakes but as soon as i saw how brees was playing from the start i knew we werent going to win

Can't "believe" he even asked the question. I really can't "believe" it. |
Re: Tell the truth!!
I thought we could beat them, heck if we play again next Sat/Sun I think we can beat them.
Seattle is a good team and they were better than us on that particular day. There is nothing more to read into that. |
Re: Tell the truth!!
Before the game, I was 50.5% sure that we were going to win.
At the end, when we got the on-sides, I was 75% sure. Anyway, I give Sherman a big thumbs up for his interview after the game and the credit he gave the Saints. |
Re: Tell the truth!!
Only if they played mistake free football, so I knew the chances were slim. But there was always a chance.
|
Re: Tell the truth!!
Yes I still Do Believe that The Saints Should've Won, I still Believe They Will Win Next Time They Play and I KNOW THEY WILL WIN THE NEXT TIME WE PLAY THEM. I EVEN WANT THE NEXT GAME TO BE IN SEATTLE SO THAT WE CAN BEAT THEM IN SEATTLE AND SHUTUP THEIR FANS. We were in position to win and we blew it. We outgained them, outphysicalled them and outcoached them, we just failed to execute properly.

I always think they have a chance to win, no matter who, no matter where. Thats being a true fan.

Re: Tell the truth!!
I did,I think we believed in the team more than some members of the team.

I certainly believed that the Saints would win. I always do and for some strange reason, I'm always left feeling shocked when they lose. Next season can't come soon enough. No more off season drama. This team will be calibrated and with a few tweaks, the Saints will be stronger and even more determined. |
Re: Tell the truth!!
I thought the Saints COULD, for sure.
There was no WILL keep the season going There was no Seattle IS too tough to beat at home |
Re: Tell the truth!!
I thought if we can win the turnover battle it would be downright possible to can there asre. 1 fumble was 7 pts. The 16 yard punt. Etc it was damn right possible.

Re: Tell the truth!!
Sure we had a chance, but it wasn't very likely. The setup for this game was much like the first, and we began this game much like we ended the last.
I was content with a close game and we needed some luck to even have a chance at the end. It was about what I expected to see. |
Re: Tell the truth!!
100%
Unfortunately, I also knew that Seattle wouldn't be the team on the field that beat us |
Tell the truth!!
What is the point of the OP? Is there an assumption that everyone lies?
BTW.. WTF is with the anti-gay propaganda? |
Re: Tell the truth!!
I was cautiously optimistic.
