To me, I think it just underscores the fact that if you go three whole solid quarters without scoring a single point, you end up having to rely on stupid crazy miracle stuff like that to happen in the final seconds, and it almost NEVER works. In like 15,000 NFL games that have ever been played, you can pretty much count on the fingers of a single hand, the number of times that something ridiculous like that has worked and actually won a game. Including River City Relay.
It's like the DirectTV commercials where one simple thing leads step by step to an absurd outcome. "Get DirectTV. Don't throw a forward lateral to your backup running back with 3 seconds left resulting in a penalty and a 10 second runoff." |

It is hard to not get offside when the play is across the field......we have the same problem in rugby where a player away from the action gets involved from an offside position.
