The NFL should hire me.

I posted this on another thread as a joke but the more I think about it the more I like it.

Extra points are made at a rate of 99,7%. Its by far the most boring play in football but still a quite dangerous one, especially for the offensive linemen. Usually while kicking an XP or FG an O-line player sets up in a much wider stance than usual making you very vulnerable to lower leg injuries. Guys get rolled over and you sprain ankles, bust knees etc. As a player I always hated that play for that reason.

What I liked was the Heath Evans version.

TD = 6
1 xtra point = Take it into the endzone from the 3 yard line.

2 xtra points = Take it in from the 5.

No more kicking XTPs

So you want to get rid of XP for safety reasons yet you still can go for 2 where guys still beat the crap out of each other for 3 yards. Just leave it alone.

I have no use for him either; but even a douche-bag can have a good idea!

Didn't Hitler came up with idea for the autobahn?

Off topic, but the decision to build the autobahn was made under the western-minded Weimar Republic, which was instituted by the Allied forces after WWI, and which was eventually succeeded by the Third Reich.

Granted Hitler was the one who eventually pushed its construction forward, but he wasn't the one who came up with the idea.

Re: Goofdell wants to can PATs

I really wish he would leave things alone. The NFL is already one of the most popular and lucrative sports in the world. He keeps wanting to change things in the name of money. Adding more teams to the playoffs and this idea of trying to make the game "more exciting" are just about money. As was him trying to make the season longer.

This guy can't leave it alone. It'll be 2 hand touch with a 20 game season where all teams make it to the playoffs and every TD counts as 20 points by the time he's done ****ing everything up.

Re: Goofdell wants to can PATs

I actually don't have much of a problem with it. PATs are very very painful for O-Lineman. I heard Ross Tucker talk about it and he had a good point, D-lineman are basically trying to rip you apart to block the kick. Without the PAT there is a lesser chance of injury. The only thing is how the automatic points will effect the record book.
