I would have players give 10-15 minute, video recorded depositions on why they want to play in the NFL and explaining their understanding of the risks involved and that the equipment provided may not fully protect them from injury...

Then I'd ask them to set their purses down so we can get back to playing tackle football...

1) Make all refs full time employees. During the offseason they would attend classes and practice game calling under simulated game conditions. Demand they establish guidelines for recognizing penalties and attempt to minimize different standards for things like pass interference and holding from game to game. Test and evaluate refs and correct or remove refs that don't meet league minimums.

2) Change playoff seeding to give home field advantage to the team with the best regular season record.

3) Change overtime to an entire quarter.

4) Remove "piped in" sound. Real crowd noise is encouraged but no fake noise.

5) Standardize playing fields, including but not limited to, length of grass, amount of watering allowed 24 hours prior to game time. And impose stiff fines upon organizations that violate those standards, up to loss of draft picks for repeat offenders.

6) Hire girls to carry placards, as in boxing matches between rounds, back and forth across the field, during each time out, end of quarter and (if we can fit it in) change of possession.

Just off the top of my head....

Not that I've given it much thought.
