we're in for another long one i'm afraid...

we can break down the matchups to try to find a few places where we can take control...but none are to be found...a gimpy deuce..and shattered team confidence means we are going to under perform once again....we don't match up well at all against this team...they're special teams could beat us alone...and our offense cannot keep pace with them...we will come in unprepared...and continue to display the kind of pathetic play that will undoubtedly...create some major speculation..and frustration by us all..god help the saints

i believe the only thing we can hope for in this next game, as well as the in the following weeks is a team playing with its back against the wall.
of course, that does take drive, determination, fire and, among others, heart.
and i think maybe thats the one thing thats in question here the most.
i wont accept \"playing for pride\", that is already lost.
and i wont accept a \"win one for the gipper,\" he too is lost.
i will accept a \"playing for my job/future\" or alternately \"my life.\"

as far as im concerned for these players, i suggest taking these matters into their own hands and leading themselves to the end.

i trust we, and they, have seen the current staff has the inability to do so.

Then an errant Aaron Brooks lateral beans me in the head, bringing me back to reality. I glance at the scoreboard to see the horrible truth, and order a couple more beers. They\'re hot and too expensive.

I mean -- sure we could magically come up with a good game -- but after watching everyone throw for 300+ yards against us (including - dare I say it -- Kerry Collins) I have no faith that we will even slow down Kansas City

C\'mon guys, i know its heartbreaking every week to see the same whooping result, but man, we all know that the team has the talent to win each game each week, its just a matter of guys pulling their fingers out when they\'re on the field and getting the job done. i know the Saints will come good and with a healthy Darren Howard the D-line will begin getting good pressure on the quarterback and things will start to unfold positively, i know it, you can\'t have the calibre of players that we have, particularly on Offense and not start winning games! Don\'t forget, its also up to the fans to stay positive too!!!

Oh man, but I\'m tryin\'!!! I could deal with the frustration a little easier if it resulted from excessive injuries (Carolina, Oakland) or a simple lack of talent (Miami, Cleveland). Of those excuses, we have neither.

Still, I\'ll be at the Dome Sunday, cheering us on for better or worse. Looks like I won\'t be able to tell my grandkids I saw Priest Holmes play, but all the better for us...

Exactly. It\'s amazing we\'ve escaped major injuries, to major personnel this deep into the season. It\'s also amazing that nobody, coaches or players have any good reasons why we are doing so poorly. We are NOT just a few plays from winning games. We have the Worst defense in the NFL (UN-DISPUTED), and we\'re pulling away from the pack. Our players show little desire throughout entire games, regardless of what coaches say. Without any answers or solutions coming from the coaching staff, it leaves the fans wondering \"How can this happen?\" Saints fans who take an optimistic approach to the rest of this year need to take a look around the league, and see that it isn\'t supposed to be like this. We\'re conditioned to failure and the constant hope of a better next year. :mad:
I close by saying that being a Saints fan is like being in love with a psychotic woman. It\'s a curse by choice, and I will always live with it. Unless of couse they move to L.A. :P
