I've been very critical of the move to select Mark Ingram...

But he looked pretty impressive now that he finally got the timing/hitting the hole thing down...

Payton's gotta decide though whether he trusts him now, and if so, it's time to shift the RB funds to the young guns...

Sap, I'd rather keep that money spent on my favorite, PT, who's already here, established...

At his age, I'm not sure he's got that much left in the tank...

age age age. not one of the young guns has proven they can produce game in and game out with our 30 year old wonders.

If I had to let 1 of the high priced ones go, I'd let Sproles go.

I think scat backs are easier and cheaper to find than the do everything backs.

I love Robinson's potential. He looks like a cross between PT and Ivory. He's only going to get better.

I'd like to keep PT for another season. He might have lost a step but its hard to tell. If we're desperate for cap space I could see both PT and Sproles replaced or forced to restructure, although I think thats unlikely.

I'm currently obsessed with Austin Johnson. I keep remebering how well he ran in pre-season. He runs like a RB, not a FB. I've been dying for a RB/FB hybrid.

That really sums up the running back situation for the Saints...

What if we kept PT, Robinson, Ingram, Collins and Austin Johnson, 3rb.'s 1 fullback and a hybrid. It seems to me that with Johnson playing a duel role at times we have a set backfield that would actually be fairly cheap not to mention stout, possibly really stout, maybe potent.

Not sure if relic applies, but at 29 years old and from what we witnessed in 2013 I'd agree with JP that its certainly questionable how much he has left in the tank.

If you extend Ingram now, it might be advantageous to a friendlier cap number and he gets a jumpstart on his veteran earning power...

Know I didn't like his high draft pick, but we're in a cap crunch and even before this late surge of his, he was still a young, capable runner...

One problem he had in 2013 is that his tank got too big.
