Great article on Nick Saban possibly going to Miami. Why the hell wouldn't we try to get him? Hello. If Haslett is gone now, Saban knows the job is open and he only has to move down the street and has way more offensive talent to work with. Now don't get me wrong, I am all for Romer Crennel, but can you imagine the ticket sales if Saban came to the dome? Benson has to be thinking of this right?

Before reading, I assumed this would have something to do with his remarks from yesterday. One that stuck out to me went something like this,
“We didn’t do the things we needed to do to stop their offense. We weren’t able to move the ball on defense.�

I would have included Haslett\'s weekly rambling babble, but we have all heard this before. It\'s not the scheme, players are making mistakes, coaches have a great gameplan, players need to make it work, players mistakes cost us not the ineptitude of my staff.

Also the ignorance of the statement you quoted by Haz says it all. It\'s so pre-planned he probably doesn\'t even care he made that gaffe. He probably had the speech prepared during the first week of the bye.

You can\'t be serious right? I mean really?? Are you a Tulane fan or something? LSU sucks?? Beating the team that was number one in the country all of last season until their championship game? Losing 6 starters to the draft and still having a winning record? And they suck? Tell that to that crystal trophy they have in their athletic department. It\'s not their fault media members are too daffy to pick the correct team.

I think that ship has sailed. If the Saints keep the top of the coaching staff, then it\'s clear that nothing is going to change.

Foster wasn\'t real bright by not tying the state\'s incentive money to wins. If Benson knew that he\'d only get half of his money if the team only won half of the games, all those coaches would have been gone long ago.

I think just because Benson wants to get a coach doesn\'t mean the coach wants to coach in New Orleans. Saban isn\'t stupid, why go to a team that SUCKS. Saban balked last year at a potential job with the Saints.

It\'s not that coach Saban doesn\'t want to coach a \"loser,\" it\'s that he wants total control like he has at LSU. He wants to be the one calling all the shots. The Saints are not \"losers,\" they are surrounded by a losing attitude and aura that starts and ends with everyone in the present coaching staff and front office. The Saints also have players who are definitely losers, but there are more positives than negatives with the players. Given total control of the team, I bet coach Saban would jump at a chance to turn the Saints around.
