Will Smith not surprised, but sad to leave New Orleans
He kinda knew it was coming, but it's sad nevertheless that defensive end/linebacker Will Smith and three other veterans, Jabari Greer, Roman Harper and Jonathan Vilma were all released this week.
"It didn't make it emotional. It just made it a little sad knowing that all of us weren't going to be returning," Smith said, via Kevin Patra of NFL.com. "Usually it's like one or two guys, but it was all four of us that were part of the Super Bowl-winning team. It was sad to see Jonathan moving on, Roman moving on, Jabari moving on. Me knowing that I possibly won't play with them ever again, I had a good time playing with those guys. They were great teammates." For Smith, he feels he's ready to latch onto a new team and be a contributor after suffering an ACL tear last year. While he can play outside linebacker, he thinks he's better suited in a 4-3 defense. "At heart, I'm a 4-3 defensive end. That's something I would like to play," Smith explained. "But if I got to a team that requires me to play outside linebacker, I'm cool with that, too." Will Smith not surprised, but sad to leave New Orleans |

You just have the feeling that a few of these players will come back to haunt us. However you just have to wish them well in anyplace but Atlanta.

Thanks for the memories, Will and all the guys. Y'all got that Super Bowl ring as member of the New Orleans Saints. Good Luck and God Bless.
