ProFootballFocus.com - Projected Lineups: New Orleans Saints
Rebounding from a tough year in 2012, that saw them miss the playoffs for the first time since 2008, the New Orleans Saints returned to the postseason in 2013. They weren’t able to win the division however, so found themselves on the road, eventually falling to the Super Bowl champion-to-be Seattle Seahawks in the divisional round. Still, they head into 2014 with a very positive outlook once again and, with a quarterback like Drew Brees, they’ll be confident of competing for the NFC South crown, and more, once again. Of course that doesn’t mean that they don’t have areas to improve, especially if they want to match up better with the Seahawks. Key:- Player markers are colored per class on a six-step ‘Poor’ to ‘High Quality’ scale based on their overall performance and the league’s elite are marked separately in blue.- Colored outlines suggest a potential change in class.- Underlined players will be 30+ years old for the 2014 season.- Red player names suggest injury risks. https://www.profootballfocus.com/wp-.../Lineup-NO.png What? No Jimmy Graham? Makes CB look like a real need. :help: |

May have to make a hard decision here, do you want to be less predictable or have Jimmy Graham?
That said, we can't have Jimmy and more toys. Moving Lelito to C and resigning Strief but not Jimmy allows Payton to draft WRs in the first and second rounds. Look at the draft this way, draft your fears. What recent Falcons draft pick has scared you most? Correct Julio Jones..... I don't think anyone misses any sleep then they draft a RT. We have a better than serviceable line, we need our weapons to have their youthful zip back. |

Up to this point, I would label Victor Butler as a 'gamble'.
The LB positions are a glaring weakness and need to be addressed this off season. |

The need to upgrade Armstead, Lewis and Stills. And I agree put Graham in as a bright blue dot.

Quote:
Lewis - High Quality Starter. (He may be considered elite after 2014) Stills - Green circle puts him Solid/High Quality Armstead - Same as Stills, I would say we are on the cusp of knowing that for sure and he is still somewhat unknown. I would have: Gallette - High Quality Collins - Adequate Starter/Solid Roll player Evans - Solid but I wouldn't go dark green based on 2013 Interesting that none are red as a gamble as many times as some players have been called "sucks". |
