When Drew's deal was done, one of the writers said the annual increases in cap hits would be offset by the increases in the salary cap. Looks like he was right.

Loomis is looking pretty smart once again.

We shall find out shortly.. The Cap was set on the following dates in previous years. Free Agency starts Mar 3rd and we have to be under it by Mar 11, so "it" is coming soon.

The league office does not pay taxes, all 32 teams do (collectively around 400m/year). If the league office lost its status it would only pay another 10m on top of that.

Something you may not know:
The Saints owe their team to the NFL's tax exempt status. Senator Russell Long bartered the franchise for tax exempt status and a no antitrust ruling when the NFL and AFL merged.
