Loomis ‘sure’ Saints can reach deal with Graham
 

Rain and cold may have ruined the Mardi Gras of Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis, but the fear of not being able to reach a long-term deal with tight end Jimmy Graham had no effect on his day.

Loomis, speaking on the SiriusXM Blitz with Bruce Murray and Rich Gannon, said he thinks New Orleans can reach an agreement with Graham to keep him with the Saints for a long time.
“The negotiations are in the process, and Jimmy has been a great player for us for the last four years,” Loomis said.

“Look, I had hoped, and I’m sure he had hoped, that we would come to some conclusion on a longer-term deal before this, but we haven’t yet, and hopefully we will.”

No worries. Were not going to lose one of the best TE in the NFL. JUst like the Drew Brees deal.

Of course he is "sure." Loomis knows he is the man in negotiations and holds the upper hand here. As I said in a previous post, he made the deal so ridiculous that a team would be a total fool to take the bait.

Listen up Jimbo, take the offer and help the best team you will ever play on win another championship, or play with the likes of Jacksonville and get your clock cleaned.

Money is great, but money and winning is greater.

I myself would welcome another team come in and steal him away... He is not worth the 2 first round picks we would get in return...

Take what we offer or go to oakland, where all great players go to retire

I'd be ecstatic if a team actually offered us 2 first rounders but I don't think it will happen

He can go to Miami for all that matters & be paid a large contract & will never be in Super Bowl contention. I say take the good money the Saints are offering & have a great chance to win a SuperBowl.
