Re: Lance Moore gone
I wasn't "big" on all of Lance's dancin' moves after every catch; but I'm glad for the 9 years he was with the team and wish him the best.

Re: Lance Moore gone
Besides the superbowl conversion there are 2 plays by lance moore that stick in my head
2010 - vs steelers, we needed a TD badly, lance moore goes straight across the middle, just as the ball reaches him he gets smacked by polamalu and holds on for the TD 2008 vs packers, first offensive play of the game, drew throws a 4 yard pass to lance, who quickly takes it back inside and turns it into a 70 yard TD |
Re: Lance Moore gone
I am going to miss the end zone dances...

And I've had Jimmy among my keepers since he was a camp rookie and I still think the Saints need to return some focus to Colston... |
Re: Lance Moore gone
Looks like we may be cleaning house. I saw this coming and think it's for the best but I'll miss him.
|
Re: Lance Moore gone
I like jimmy but I don't want to break the bank. I sure hope this is not a sign we are going to start to build our offense around the TE. I think Jimmy is the type of player to get injured and miss several games a season. Or at least be injured enough to be ineffective.

Re: Lance Moore gone
I'm very sad to lose a real Saint.
Go Lance. Kick ass wherever you land. But please, when it's time, retire a Saint. |
Re: Lance Moore gone
I loved Moore.
Hope the guy gets paid elsewhere, but he is a system guy and I can see him being about as successful as Mech was. Get your $$$ Moore then come back home to hang your jersey up. |
Re: Lance Moore gone
Lance was one of my all time favorites......gonna miss him, but life goes on. I'm sure he will do very well wherever he lands.
|
Re: Lance Moore gone
This makes me sad, but it is a numbers game. Moore has been too injury-prone and inconsistent to get paid the kind of money he was going to make. still, love the guy's style and how smooth he always was out there. A lot of fun to watch.

Re: Lance Moore gone
Tough to see him leave ... obviously a fan favorite, highly respected & admired on and off the field. He never ran a 4.4, 4.5 40 but boy he sure knew how to get open, run a perfect route and keep the chains moving.
I'm confident that he won't stay unemployed very long. Good luck LM! |

Re: Lance Moore gone
Best of luck Lance, and thanks for all that you did while you were here. That 2-point play in the SB was just one of a whole bunch of great plays. Just please don't sign with Atlanta.
|
Re: Lance Moore gone
We'll always love him. He is a very clean cut player and a class act.
No matter what, he'll always be a Saint and a member of our Superbowl team. Hope he lands somewhere with a great coach, he deserves the best! |

As For the Moore release I felt that every since he got play his big contract he disappeared granted he was hurt at times but still |

You touched on something that could get him signed somewhere. This is not to take anything away from his talent what so ever but teams like Jax grab a player every now and then that can get the fans and the crowd back in love with the team. |

And the Cam Newton style celebrating after a 3 yard catch? Yep, I'm sure there will be less *****ing about it now. |

Seems like Jimmy is the only person on the field that drew looks for anymore. Its Jimmy or a Rb screen and that's about it. Unless Stills/Meachum gets free deep As for the Moore release.Since he got his deal a couple years ago. He hasn't been the same player.Granted he has been hurt at times but still |
Re: Lance Moore gone
Going to miss that guy, however it's a business.

And most didn't say they hated all of his celebrations, only the dumb/unnecessary ones. |
Re: Lance Moore gone
What sad news but I guess most of us, were sort of, expecting it.
He has been an amazing player for the Saints, it won't seem the same without him on the sidelines! Hope he goes to a good team that really appreciates him, he still has a couple of good years left in him. Hope we don't have to play against him in the future though! That would be soooooooooooooo weird! GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!! |
Re: Lance Moore gone
He had nine years as a Saint. He worked hard to make the PS and even harder when he made the 53. I love that man and I will definitely miss him. You go Lance. Make another team learn to love you too. Good luck.

Re: Lance Moore gone
I have been missing in action for a while. And the first thing I see when I pull up the B&G is this. I tell ya, I have a knot in my stomach.
Thank you Lance. You will be missed and you will not be forgotten. |
Re: Lance Moore gone
I sure hate to see Lance go, he was a favorite player of mine for along time, well before his 2 point conversion in the SB. I sure hope he finds a good team to play for and finish up his career. Then retire and come back to N.O. like others have done. Good Luck Lance, we'll miss you.
|
Re: Lance Moore gone
I want Lance Moore. Get me Lance Moore ! You will be missed
|
Re: Lance Moore gone
Lance was always clutch. Won't miss the dancing after routine plays but he was a gamer.
|
Re: Lance Moore gone
I wouldn't not be surprised in the least to see the Pats pick him up if they can dump amendola or get him cheap.Reliable hands, good route runner, team guy no off field issues he has a Belichek signing written all over him
|
Re: Lance Moore gone
To me with the release of Lance, Darren and probably PT. Saints are more likly to go offense offense offense in the draft which Im ok with, this offense needs to get younger. Love the players, but like the moves.
|
Re: Lance Moore gone
Sorry to see my go hope we can get him back
