Which New Cornerback to get
Ok, so its a fact that The Saints will be acquiring at least one CB this offseason the question I have is which would you prefer? Would you rather we sign Free Agent Dominque Rogers Cromartie who isn't elite but is perfectly suited to be the #2 Corner opposite from Keenan Lewis. Or would you want us to draft the Florida Cornerback Roberson who is just as tall but 6 years younger and would be under team control far longer. So which do you want?

Re: Which New Cornerback to get
Free Agents
Cortland Finnegan Tarell Brown Draft Kyle Fuller Stanley Jean Baptiste I'd be happy with any of these guys |
Re: Which New Cornerback to get
Revis has signed 2 max contracts with 2 suck @$$ teams ... He will be cut , perhaps he will decide the best of his last days should be played for an elite team ...

Re: Which New Cornerback to get
Cromartie

Re: Which New Cornerback to get
Cornerbacks who make an immediate impact their rookie year are kind of hard to come by. I wouldn't be opposed to signing one of these guys on a short term contract AND going for someone in the draft.

Re: Which New Cornerback to get
Antonio Cromartie or Tarell Brown and from the draft i would have to go with Jason Verrett he reminds me of Brent Grimes.

Re: Which New Cornerback to get
Draft pick.

Re: Which New Cornerback to get
If the Buccs let Revis go that speaks to why they will never get where they want to go.
Giving up two draft picks (one a first rounder, #13 overall) for Revis then letting him go the following season?!?!?! But I do understand somewhat, Lovie is a zone defense guy and Revis is a man player. |
Re: Which New Cornerback to get
Seems the Buccs are bringing in Michael Johnson. We better get this line sorted pronto as this division is getting pretty nasty on both sides of the ball.

There's a lot of really good corner out there. Cromartie is the only one I see people mention that I would want on a 2 year deal.

I'm partial to Stanley jean baptiste myself as a husker fan!!

Re: Which New Cornerback to get
Cromartie; draft Pierre Desir, Lindenwood to understudy...

Re: Which New Cornerback to get
I don't understand the market for CB. One minute Sam Sheilds gets 10mil per year and then Alteraun Verner (who is better) gets 6 mil a year to play for a crappy bucs team.

bingo lovie will build a great DL and fill in some solid LB. Atlanta loaded up on the DL also CB? Draft OL needs have taken on a whole new meaning. |

My how the tide is turning..........

Re: Which New Cornerback to get
Honestly, I'm okay with both Robinson and White as our 2 and nickle. We have way too many needs on the offensive line and I still think we need to bring in a young playmaker at receiver via the draft.
Selfishly, Revis if there was cap room. But at this point OLine... OLine... OLine... Keep Brees upright. |
Re: Which New Cornerback to get
Tarell Brown is young and the guy would be a good pick up for use

Re: Which New Cornerback to get
PRob? talent is there injury bug is too. One year left on his contract, is the gamble worth it? could have a solid season or be in the tub. I have to air on caution and say Draft a solid prospect early in the draft. His cap numbers would more than pay for the draft pick if you did cut PRob before or during the season. If he does well your stuck with two solid CB so if he walks at the end of the year you have a fall back plan. either way its a win win.

Tarell Brown is 29, which I wouldn't call young by NFL standards; and we've got two that are developing nicely in that slot... If you want a major upgrade there - look to the draft... |
