this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; You might like the looks of this contract but this is the kind of guy who will pull a no-show and demand more $$. Hopefully it's all different now but I doubt it....

You might like the looks of this contract but this is the kind of guy who will pull a no-show and demand more $$. Hopefully it's all different now but I doubt it.

I don't agree. Byrd certainly wanted his payday (and rightfully so), but he also wanted out of Buffalo because he was sick of being on losing teams. That's why he joined the Saints.. He wanted to win. I don't think somebody who is actively looking to join a winning organization would just quit because he's now been paid.
