Re: John Clayton say saints interested in Brandon Browner
Just looking through the cap numbrrs and dead money I wonder if its a case of if they can get him for a couple of years on the rigjt deal its paid for by cutting Patrick Robinson. His dead money stands at $1.4ml.
$1ml on dead money for Hartley (shakes head) |
Re: John Clayton say saints interested in Brandon Browner
I like the idea of this happening. Need another strong vet to complete our now even better secondary. Problem is I just don't realistically seeing this happen numbers wise. Next year would have been better because I believe we will have about 19-20 mill available especially if Brees restructures.

Re: John Clayton say saints interested in Brandon Browner
With all this talk I wonder whats going on with Jimmy, it's been quiet lately. Is he going to file a grievance? Will he even be resigned?

Re: John Clayton say saints interested in Brandon Browner
Pray that someone picks up Jimmy for 2 draft picks and opens up cap? Lommis could do some serious damage with another 7 mil. Pick u Finley and build him to be a beast. Then use some leftover cap space to pick up a solid CB in FA then draft a CB in round 1 or 2.

Re: John Clayton say saints interested in Brandon Browner
You can keep Finley thanks.
Better and fitter TE on the roster already. |

No offense but are you high? No team is going to commit to Browner for that kind of money, much less long-term because of his history. He might get something like 2 years $6 million or 3 years $10 million. Maybe. |
Re: John Clayton say saints interested in Brandon Browner
Browner is suspended for the first 4 games of the 2014 season, even if we did go after him he wouldn't be able to play until then and with his history of PED's its a serious question mark
not doubting him as player in any sense |
Re: John Clayton say saints interested in Brandon Browner
Also, this dude ain't no spring chicken. He'll be 30 when the season starts. 30 might not seem that old now, but for cornerbacks the bottom usually falls out around 32 or 33.

I talking about resigning Graham to a 6 year 60ml contract as it would cut his cap and open up another couple of million to sign rookies/FA etc. Sorry didn't explain myself properly. Its a bit early to be drinking yet. |
