Brees steps down from NFLPA committee
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees officially stepped down as a member of the NFL Players Association’s executive committee on Wednesday. He explained earlier this week that he plans to remain involved with union issues. But Brees said he wanted to step aside and let a young guy take his place since he has so many other responsibilities as a quarterback and a soon-to-be father of four.
“I have served as a Player Rep and a member of the Executive Committee for a long time and will always be a strong voice and outspoken advocate for players, their families, and the Union,” Brees said in a statement released by the NFLPA. “I am excited to see young leaders in this league step into this role and continue to advance the cause of our Union and the future of our league.” Saints tight end Benjamin Watson remained on the executive committee – though he lost out in his bid to become the new union president. Players elected free-agent offensive tackle Eric Winston as the new NFLPA president. New Orleans Saints' Drew Brees steps down from NFLPA committee - ESPN |

Father of four...........damn! Imagine these kids watching film with dad. It worked for another New Orleans player before who gave us two very good QB's. Now what was his name? Oh, yes Manning.
