McKenzie and Horn listed as questionable for the Broncos game and Rogers is listed as doubtful.

Horn will probly play, he\'s tough, thats one of the reasons i like him. As for Mckensie, I hope that minor because I think he was starting to get comfortable with the defense. (as bad as it may be.)

shadow, yeah it was the knee. Must be raining down there huh? Also heard Deuce re-tweaked his ankle and added his knee to his injuries. Must be why he didn\'t get many carries in the second half.

I hope this is a ploy by our team, so that the Broncos gameplan against our run more than the pass. If not... . :( and :casstet:

McKinzie would be a big loss too. Jake the Snake, although I think is way over rated, can tear us apart. He will have a field day unless our DL steps up (don\'t hold your breath). I can see the team from a mile high, go a mile or 2 on our team.

Joe Horn is one of the few guys I\'ve seen who can limp off the field one play, come back on the next and catch a 60 yard bomb between two defenders, and then limp back off the field favoring the other leg! :) Horn will play and be fine. Deuce should too I think.

I will say this, I want for them to lose, but not because of injuries. I think they have enough of a battle fighting terrible coaching that they don\'t need to be short-handed. I hope all these players are well by gametime and able to play, then the full ineptitude of the staff can be displayed again and injuries won\'t be an excuse.

Has anyone heard anything about Courtney Watson? I haven\'t seen much of him at all in the last few weeks. I know he had a gimpy knee, but how serious was the injury?

It turns out that Haslett believed Courtney wasn\'t getting the job done, so he benched Courtney for Ruff. Had nothing to do with the injury which I think is healed. I think it\'s a dumb move.
I hope that Bockwoldt starts for an injured Rodgers.

I\'m with dberce (from another topic) on this one. I\'m gonna bench Horn on my fantasy squad in hopes that will provoke a 150 YD, 2 TD performance...

I don\'t see why Watson shouldn\'t be playing on passing downs. While I\'m no Haz fan these days, I don\'t think it was a bad decision to go with Ruff. Watson was pretty good in read and react and pass coverage, but he was not so strong against the run.

I think that whoever is HC next year should put Watson into a permanent spot at WLB. I truly believe he can excel there. I also think with about 10 more pounds in upper body strength he could be a good MLB, but why waste his talent.

At 240 lbs, 6\'-1\" he\'s perfect for all 3 LB positions. He will get better working in traffic and has all the athleticism needed to play in space.

I\'m not so sure that weight is his problem as much as it is NFL-strength and technique. I think the future is bright for this kid no matter where they put him.

Now they need to get Cie down to about 225 and let him play WLB. The weight loss may help with the knee issue. Or as some have suggested get him even lighter and let him move to SS.

I think the knee will always give him trouble playing MLB at 245 lbs.

My dream is to land Derrick Johnson. He\'s DJ Wiliams with much better instincts.

I just wonder how exactly we land one of the top players in the draft if almost everyone is hoping we scoot into the playoffs? Would not it be better to miss the playoffs by a long shot and draft Derrick or Rolle? Immediate impact rookies at our neediest positions? Just a thought. Unless someone can shoot Sullivan full of coke before the last 7 games so he looks active, then we trade him off with out first to move up and get one of these players.

Danno,

Agreed that he has the right weight, I was actually suggesting, though as you point out not very clearly, that he work on his upper body more (more of a weight shift than a weight gain). Now I haven\'t seen him in awhile, so I may be wrong about this, but I though he needed shoulder, arm, and chest work. This would, in practical theory, allow him to lay the lumber more effectively - also, it\'d be easier to shed blockers in this case. His speed may suffer slightly, but I think that won\'t be a big problem.

Cie Grant... hmmmm... I may rethink him, but, as of right now, he\'s my most hated player. It is because people thought that he\'d be good that we didn\'t acquire another backer before the season, IMO. Of course, that is Jimbo\'s fault, but it also Grant\'s not panning out that contributes to the problem.

Though, for the record, I\'ve always respected your personel information very much, so, again, I\'ll think about it.

Maybe an interesting time to ask, and I seriously hope this doesn\'t veer too far toward off-topic, but who does everyone think the #1 pick will be ... and who will get him?

If we lose the rest, like some folks hope we will, there\'s still hope!!!

(Still waiting on the next Lombardi and Montana if we lose out...)

The number one player pick depends on which team gets the first pick, if Leinart changes his mind and comes out, and which of the top 10 players shoot up from workouts and senior bowls. The number one player picked may not necessarily be the best player in the draft. Depends on a team\'s needs. I know if we pick top 5, we will have a shot at Rolle or Johnson as Miami will look qb or rb and Tampa will look rb or O-line more than likely.
