Last Wave
I would love to see either Anthony Spencer or Sidney Rice as a cheap FA pickup. Also want to see De La Puente back!

Re: Last Wave
I think we are already in draft mode, at least I am... :bng:

Re: Last Wave
pass on both outsiders and open to Brain returning.

Re: Last Wave
Anyone shocked DLP hasn't received an offer? I'm not. Still like to see him back even if it's to lose his starting job.

Re: Last Wave
I think we're happy with our possible in camp center prospect. He did start 2 games at guard last year and did fairly well. Unless we get Brian back on the real cheap cheap he's done with us. Colston #1, Stills as a second and morgan a 3rd not a bad receiving corps with Graham, PT and Ingram. Cadet can handle Sproles spot. The team has the right idea.

He was absolutely terrible against the Cardinals. He gave up 3 sacks and 5 QB hurries. He got pushed around like he was wearing roller skates. He didn't do too bad against the falcons. |

DLP Allowed a hit and a hurry up in the AZ game. |

Re: Last Wave
Don't see DLP coming back, want to see them draft a center in the 3-5 round range
|
Re: Last Wave
The fourth round looks like it will have good talent at center still available.

Re: Last Wave
If we can't draft the WR that they want in the draft then I wouldn't mind at least trying out Sidney Rice if he's healthy. The thought that Rice only had one good season and that was with Brett Farve so I could image him with Brees.

Re: Last Wave
I wouldn't be against bringing rice in for league minimum but he might get injured signing the contract

Re: Last Wave
A better starting C is needed on our front line. Martin in the 4th.

lets give the kid from Grand Valley State in his 2nd year a break. he proved himself to be a solid developmental player that deserves a shot at another year of coaching. My question is were are all the Alex Mack people now that draft upon us? mid round really? we have no center and you draft a developmental OC that is no where ready to start? strike early the draft it aint that deep at OC. the top two or maybe three look to be possible day one starters. after that they need coaching like Lito, solid but not ready to start by all odds. repeat after me OC is a glamor position that is a flashy pick in the draft and the fans will love it! :p |

I wouldn't have a problem with another year of DLP. Lack of interest might mean what we already know, that Brees makes his linemen better, or at least look better. |

that is why OC is so high on my wish list. the interior of the pocket must hold up because any push up the middle neutralizes Drew way to much same argument as last year for me. every yard of penetration makes drew 3 inches short in the pocket. as we all know, he does not have the inches to give up as it is. as for the ship sailing on mack i know how do you go from wanting the best OC in the NFL and knowing the needs to drafting an OC in the 4th or 5th round and praying he can plug the hole? I call this the glamor effect of the draft and not going with the BPA on the board. lets face it a solid oC will not sell tickets or generate the buzz of other positions. sacks and TDs generate more fan PR than keeping Drew up right and opening wholes for the running game. OC get the no respect ;) |
