That's very good news. He was solid last year. Glad to have him back.

They are older players, prove their worth and not dump a bunch of money in older players, and then be stuck with their inflated contract if they suck it up in the later part of their career.

I like this decision a lot. With Galette, Haralson, Butler, Dawson and Johnson I think we'll be less pressured to reach for an OLB in the first round of the draft.

barr, barr, barr, barr can be used as a de or olb

This will hopefully stop the foolish draft pundits from predicting we wilk draft Auburns Dee Ford. With both Butler and Paralson coming back, we are looking strictly at CB/WR in the 1st and 2nd Rounds.

I don't think this has anything to do with who we draft.
Dee Ford is still every bit as likely as before.

I would not be upset in the least if they drafted Dee Ford. Excellent pick!

Welcome to The New NFL. Resign your core players long term and fill in the rest with one and two year deals.

I'm glad we resigned him. He was solid last year.

Damn. Straight talk.
I like the signing.
I like the words above.

Re: Saints Re-sign Parys Haralson

Don't need Ford now. With Galette, Butler, Paralson and Johnson we have enough OLB's. We need to focus on CB and WR.

Re: Saints Re-sign Parys Haralson

Good signing. He was very good in run stopping and will add needed depth at a key position.

Also, makes that 7th rounder sent 49ers way seem just a little more justified.

Re: Saints Re-sign Parys Haralson

I doubt that Dee Ford falls to us, but if he does I would be thrilled. Remember that Victor Butler is only under contract one more year and we still don't really know what we have in him. Also, there's no such thing as too many good players on a defense that was plagued by injuries all last year. I wanna see us draft a CB as much as the rest of us, but I'd prefer we waited till the 2nd or 3rd round for one of the two big guys, Baptiste or that other fella whose name escapes me.

This draft is very deep at DE. I would was until rd 3 or 4 to pull the trigger on one.

I'm glad Parys is back. He is still explosive, fierce competitor and has that dawg in him. We can never have enough big nasties on D.

A one year is an over the hump contract. It's an insurance policy on the draft.

I like the signing. Hopefully he plays as solid as he did last year, I couldn't ask for more.

Re: Saints Re-sign Parys Haralson

we have a big contract to sign next year also. so one years work out great. besides it leaves us with some wiggle room in case any of our other free agents step up and have a gang buster of a year

Re: Saints Re-sign Parys Haralson

very good a much underrated resigning he played the run so well. Now with champ an if saints can find money to match falclows offer to bush the D side of the saints squad has no pressing needs which would allow saints to take best player on draft board with each pick.To bad saints not set on other side with wr/oc/back up left tackle an a scat back to replace sproles skill set.

With the signing of Marcus Ball, I don't see Bush being in the Saints next season plans...
