Welcome to The New NFL. Resign your core players long term and fill in the rest with one and two year deals.

A one year is an over the hump contract. It's an insurance policy on the draft.

I like this decision a lot. With Galette, Haralson, Butler, Dawson and Johnson I think we'll be less pressured to reach for an OLB in the first round of the draft.
