Cut off my DirecTV today to save some money. I got the TV Fanatic, Hulu Basic and Netflix. Only pay the 9 per month for Netflix. Where do I go to get live sports for free?

Can you narrow down " sports" a little? Thats fairly broad.

Google 'watch free sports'
Other than that... Become an Umpire or Referee

There is always
Pool hall
Bowling alley
Little League... Not sure if they charge admission now

Just google "First Row Sports" ...you can watch anything live(ESPN, NFL Network, NBA tv, etc.) ...It'll give you several links to try.

I live in Southern California no way to watch all my saints action except Directv NFL Sunday ticket. I'm in the same financial predicament but something has to give! Unless we can find a volunteer to stream those games to us via Skype?

Did that too but the Raiders and Niners fans scare me! At least the Chargers fans are classy and have a soft spot for Brees.
On not to mention there's 2 or 3 others who are regular at my place to watch Saints games

I finally kicked DirecTV to the curb too after this season. The Atlanta market showed 11 of the 16 regular season games from last season. Since the blackout rules still apply and it's only Sunday day games, it ended up being $240 for the package along with another $240 for 6 months of worthless TV service with HD. Nearly $500 for 5 games. Too rich for my blood.

Excellent thread. Hoping to evaluate some of the results here soon.

Cox Cable of New Orleans cannot turn off basic cable when you order the internet package only. In fact, I have 10MB internet and only pay $48 and get the TV cable for FREE since the cable is still needed to feed the internet. No box... No premium channels... No HD. Just plug the cable into the back of your TV and it still freaking works great for channels 2-99 just cable like back in 1990.

Have Netflix to fill in the gaps. Watch everything a couple of years late. House phones with Magic Jack only $20 per year unlimited long distance. Magic Jack works great as long as it is not on a wireless connection. It must be plugged directly into your wireless router or you get static.

I had my DirecTV cut off 3 days ago and it's still on. I think something must be happening like with Foreverfans message about Cox Cable.
