Clemson offensive line prospect Brandon Thomas tears ACL in workout with New Orleans Saints, report says
Clemson guard Brandon Thomas sustained a torn ACL in his knee during a private workout with the New Orleans Saints last week, according to the Baltimore Sun.
The 6-foot-3, 317-pound guard was projected to be a third- or fourth-round pick in May's NFL draft. The Saints are in the market for depth on the offensive line with the departures of center Brian de la Puente and tackle Charles Brown. Tim Lelito served as the backup at center and both guard positions last season, but he's slated to be the starter at center in 2014 with de la Puente leaving for Chicago.
