Kicker a major need?

I think that kicker is a position that is vital for any team seeking a championship. Who is the kicker for the Saints this year? What plan is in place to address this position? Who is the best kicker available in the draft?

I agree we need a different kicker Shayne Graham is not the answer.

Rob Bironas is a better kicker that is available. Id feel much more comfortable with him

I still think we should bring in Kickalicious for a look

I'd like to draft the kid from Arkansas who has an amazing leg, and keep Graham on the roster as well. Anything in the 40 yard range Graham will hit, outside of that you bring in the kid. And he learns from Graham so that he's ready for next year.

Re: Kicker a major need?

Trade all of our picks to the Texans and take the best kicker available. It makes the most sense.

Anytime Shane Graham is your kicker... you have a need. Lets see what happens.

Rather draft a Kicker than a Punter, but thats just me, oh... and just about every other GM in NFL history.

That's what Morton Anderson did with Tony Fritch. :bng:

You mean Morstead? And it was 2 picks.

Awful draft...
Jenkins
Arnoux
Vaughn
Morstead ( 2 picks)

I remember Stanley Arnoux and Chip Vaughn were supposed to be the greatest things since sliced bread coming out of Wake Forest... lol

Re: Kicker a major need?

Not defending the pick but Morestead is a combo-kicker.

Our FG kicker hasn't kicked kickoffs in how long?

Morestead is a punter/place kicker. Just not very accurate on FG they say.

ok thanks bring that one up before breakfast? thanks

i remember thanking god that the draft was over early for us that year.

looking at it now Morstead was worth it. punter is a key weapon and he has worked out well. just needs to keep improving on that coffin corner kick. he is getting better but still needs work

Bring in anyone with a leg to stand on while they kick........then bring in someone else. And so on and so forth.

I think he is kicking for the team that is playing the 'Mean Machine' this week. Paul Crewe is his holder
