LSU WR Odell Beckham Jr. was voted as the LSU player that New Orleans Saints fans would want the team to draft the most in a poll on NewOrleansSaints.com last week.

Beckham Jr. earned 58 percent of the 2,719 votes. Along with Beckham Jr., WR Jarvis Landry (18%) and RB Jeremy Hill (8%) rounded out the top three.

Beckham Jr. claimed the 2013 Hornung Award as college football’s most versatile player. He earned first-team All-America honors as a junior in 2013 as both a kick returner (Football Writers Association of America) and return specialist (CBSSports.com).

Landry has better hands than Beckham in a pinch. Most LSU fans know that. Odell's dad played for LSU and hence the nostalgia. Although Beckham is fast, that doesn't mean he'll be big impact in the NFL. Wish him the best.... we don't need anymore receivers with ANY history of drops (after last season) -- I'll PASS on Beckham.

I only saw a handfull of LSU games but that seems to be the consensus. Beckham is more dynamic and versatile, Landry is more dependable and consistent.

Kinda like DeSean Jackson versus Marques Colston? I'm sure some LSU fans can come up with a better comparison.

Don't really need a better comparison. I'm sure most should get the gist of it.

One has a very big upside and one is extremely safe. When it comes down to those two, it's about what's your flavor.

Maybe he was just doing what he "should" do, but Miles spoke very highly of Landry. I would not be unhappy in the least little bit if we made him a first round pick.

First of all Jordan Jefferson was never even drafted, so think before you speak. Second I always said I think I'd draft Benjamin or Cooke over OBJ, although I do think OBJ will have a good career. When it comes to the Saints I want the best player drafted, I don't care if he's from LSU or North Texas.
