Is this like fantasy football before the season begins?

Cadet shine? ... I can't see it but I hope the prognosticators are right.

I kinda hope we can draft his replacement late in the draft this year...Dri Archer or McKinnon...I think Cadet's time has passed...he hasn't shown anything but to not provide when his number is called...

He's done quite well when his number has been called. The problem is his number hasn't been called all that often, but when it has he has produced.

Granted its a small sample but here are his career stats in the NFL...

Running
1 rush - 5 yards

Receiving
7 catches, 49 yards, 7 YPC (respectable, PT averaged 6.7 last year, 7.9 for career)

KO Returns
35 returns, 929 yards, 26.54 YPR (26.54 would rank 8th in the NFL, Darren Sproles averaged 21.25)

I'd like to see what he could do with more touches. If his small sample of stats is any indication of how he'd perform if called upon more, we may have a keeper.

I have always been a big supporter of Travaris, although I had begun to believe that Cadet had maxed out. His returns were consistent but no splash. Still, eighth place is very respectable.
He needs to be on his toes with Robinson around. He passed him up pretty quickly on the depth chart.

True Dale but they are two different types of RB's. Khiry has power and tackle breaking ability. He looks like he may be special. Didn't time well in the 40 but we all know that can be misleading. He plays fast.

Cadet is more of a utility back. He doesn't do anything great, but does everything OK. He's kinda like a poor mans cross between PT and Sproles. He's got good hands, good moves, good speed, good balance, good vision, but just doesn't have anything great.

I'm pretty excited to see him in TC and pre-season. He could just as easily step it up a notch as he could just fade away.

My opinion is he steps it up. The coaches certainly like something about him. I'll default to their insight.

IDK....if that's the case then why hasn't he been given more opportunity to play? I remember him dropping a pass when he was wide open this season and heading back to the bench...I could be wrong...but I believe time is ticking on his timer...he better shine in preseason...
