Damn, a lot of away games in the first part of the season, but, we have enough seasoned vet's on the team to push through this. I don't think Cleveland will be a push over. These will be hard fought battles but I am pumped about this season.
WHO DAT!!!! |
Re: Schedule
Wow. Two primetime games in 4 days.

Thursday night game on the road? That's 3 years in a row.
Two years in a row against the previous division champion. That's a hose job. |

But 5 of our last 8 in the dome!!! Its a decent schedule. Could be worse, could be better. WE got screwed on playing Sun night then Thursday night. Tamp has two back-to-back road games and another back-to-back-to-back span as well. Thats brutal. |

Colts get the bye-week short straw this year | ProFootballTalk
Other teams with multiple post-bye opponents include the Patriots (Bengals and Colts), the Chargers (Chiefs and Raiders in consecutive weeks), the Packers (Dolphins and Bears), the Bears (Packers and Vikings in consecutive weeks), the Vikings (Panthers and Buccaneers), the Buccaneers (Redskins and Falcons), the Saints (Ravens and Steelers), and the Cardinals (Broncos and Eagles). With eight teams facing two teams each after byes and the Colts facing three, that leaves 10 teams who’ll play the full season without facing a team that had two weeks to get ready. They are the Jets, Bengals, Steelers, Jaguars, Texans, Cowboys, Falcons, Panthers, Seahawks, and 49ers. Gotta give Florio credit for calling that kinda BS on the league's part... |

Re: NFL Schedules will be released today Wednesday 23rd of April 2014
Could we be playing Clowney for the first game? Hmmm...
|
Re: NFL Schedules will be released today Wednesday 23rd of April 2014
I really don't wanna play Clowney
|
Re: Schedule
I would love it if the Failclowns gave up a bunch of picks for Clowney. Their failure is in not having any depth and that would continue to be the case.

Re: NFL Schedules will be released today Wednesday 23rd of April 2014
What if our Oline doesnt protect Brees from him?
|
Re: Schedule
He's not some kind of monster lol. I don't think it will be a problem.

It's gonna' be sorta' like the N-drama-kong Suh story, part deux ... he was overhyped his last season at Nebraska, but since arriving in the NFL, do you realize he makes or participates in less than 4 (yep! count 'em - 4!) plays per game for the Lions? (*based on 2013 statistics). Hardly a "game changer" or player to be feared, IMO. Clowney has already demonstrated he's a bit of a prima-donna, plus if he winds up in Can'tlanta, that's a surefire recipe for failure,. "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt ........... I say, "bring him on", ;). 'Welcome to the NFL', Jadaveon,. |
Re: NFL Schedules will be released today Wednesday 23rd of April 2014
I'm a gamecock fan, and I will just tell you this......
Clowney was one of the players that helped us become relevant in the SEC again. If it wasnt for Clowney we may not have gone 10-2 for three straight years. The other contributor was Connor Shaw. I wish I could say Lattimore but he was good with Stephen Garcia under center but Shaw didnt need him that much and he was getting hurt too often. I would feel better if we focused on a strong cb or oline in the draft. I do think we need a playmaking receiver as well. But we need to shore up our line. Can we double a pass rusher or is that against the rules? |
