He would be a good pick in the 2nd or 3rd.

I've said it numerous times in the past couple months, he is not a smart player. This kind of proves it. Millions of dollars on the line and he DUI's two weeks before the draft. What an idiot.

I stupid are these kids, well I say kids but they aren't. You are just about to be selected in the first round make a few million dollars and you cant stay away from drink, drugs, bars etc.

Biggest day of his life coming up in 2 weeks and he doesn't have the sense to stay out of trouble.

My arse would be staying home eating soup so I didn't accidentally choke.

If you cant grasp the weight of the biggest day in your life, how can you grasp the weight of the biggest game of the season.. Pass

Re: NS - Bradley Roby arrested

He was suspended at least once for undisclosed reasons at the beginning of last season. It happened at the same time as Hyde's suspension so it stayed pretty much under the radar. I think it was safety Christian Bryant who made Roby look brilliant. Once Bryant broke his leg, Roby's performance measurably dropped. Bryant made it happen, Roby got the glory.

Certainly not smart as this just cost him quite a few dollars ...

I'm still kind of hoping we trade up and get Justin Gilbert somehow. He is Patrick Peterson 2.0.

Re: NS - Bradley Roby arrested

To be fair Roby's side says that he wasn't operating the vehicle but sleeping in it in a parking lot. Okay, obviously he operated it but I'm hearing misdemeanor. Which is definitely not going to destroy his draft stock that much. Or will it?

How can you arrest somebody for being at 10 times under the legal limit? Something else going on here. Either the Columbus PD is sketchy or Roby did something to invite the trouble.

Either way he's still not a player I want on the Saints, for purely on-field reasons. Guy doesn't have an instinctive bone in his body.

He failed the field sobriety test.

I couldn't pass a field sobriety test even if I was stone cold sober (which is rare, granted) because I constantly have sinus and inner ear problems. But I doubt it's that simple. Could be the cops are in crackdown mode, this particular cop was abusing his authority, or Roby gave him some lip.

He didn't pass the sobriety test.

Columbus police were dispatched to Vine Street on a report of a person passed out behind the wheel of a car.

Coulda been stoned and decided to sleep it off.

Re: NS - Bradley Roby arrested

Is it illegal to sleep in a park car?

With a blood alcohol content of as little as .04%-half the legal limit-your chances of being involved in an accident are greater than for a non-drinker. At .06%-still well under the legal limit-you are twice as likely to be involved in a fatal crash; at .08%-the legal limit-you are three times as likely; and at .10%-which used to be the legal limit-you are twelve times as likely[v].

He didn't fail the sobriety test IMHO

After reading all this, there has to be some facts we aren't getting. Apparently he was at least somewhat cooperative as he did the breathalyser test. Something fishy going on here and this story, like the old song, makes me go hmmmmmmm.

Its what the report said. Are you saying the report is lying? How do you know the report is false?

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Former Ohio State University Buckeye football player Bradley Roby is facing an OVI charge.

Court documents show that the incident occurred on April 20 and a report was filed on April 22.

Columbus police tell 10TV officers were dispatched to Vine Street on a report of a person passed out behind the wheel of a car.

When officers arrived, they were unable to get the driver's attention. They opened the unlocked door and say they noticed the odor of alcohol.

Police say another officer was called to conduct a field sobriety test, which the driver failed.

Wow! Three pages on a player who isn't even on our team! Anyone checked out any other teams' forums to see if Roby's lighting it up over there too?

Re: NS - Bradley Roby arrested

There are plenty of substances besides alcohol that can make one fail a field sobriety test. The guy probably went to a party, had a drink or two, but hit the blunt a few times and realized he shouldn't be trying to drive. I don't know, doesn't seem that far-fetched.

Roby is an awful CB. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a Michigan Wolverines fan.

He allowed 100 yards to the WR he was covering in 7 of OSU's 13 games this year. Adjectives cannot express how awful that is.

I watched him get absolutely abused last season by Wisconsin's Jared Abbrederis with Joel Stave at QB... That's a really awful sign.

Ok, couple things here:

1) .000 could mean he refused to blow.
2) OVI is the same as a DUI which also covers drugs
3) Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) officers are trained to identify people whose driving is impaired by drugs.
4) If this is his first offense I imagine Ohio has something like Louisiana has. It is called a Article 894 which clears his record as long as he stays clean.

Who cares...unless he falls to the 6th or 7th round...he only showed up against lesser opponents...there are plenty of mid round corners I'd rather take a chance on...hell he play worse at CB than M Jenkins did...yall want to re-live that? lol
