Didn't his brother Tino play for PiTT. Now Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.

I really like the pick.
I think Sunseri is one of those guys that 10 years from now we'll all be saying, "he's carved a nice career out of his talent."

I can envision a redshirt year on IR.

I think this gamble has the opportunity to be a smart one, its not like he's injury prone, ACL tears happen to nearly every player at some point and he looks like a solid special teams player, possible future special teams captain because of his leadership ability and a decent backup safety

any gamble has a risk some more than others as we all know. but in this case your dealing with a player that if all goes well has a very good chance of being a starter. Athletic and very high football IQ. this kid should have been listed as the probably the 4th best safety in the draft.

The medical is the only reason he was there. he has the overall skill set to warrant a redshirt if needed.

unlike some of the other injury players we drafted. not so much the athleticism is not there as much as questionable football IQ and desire. Major red flags IMO

Yes. If you are playing black jack from a single deck halfway through you should have a good idea what is coming. (if you were paying attention)
But since we're talking football you take all the variables and decide if the odds are in your favor. If so you roll the dice. It's a calculated risk. :p

He ran 4.48-4.52 at his pro day, which is fairly fast for a SS.

NFLDraftscout projected him as a 5-6 rounder, and the 5th best SS in the draft.

Yeah. That's great speed for a SS. I didn't like the pick at first, but I think I want to see him get some run over Rapheal Bush. He's a ball hawk.
