I'm trying to combine the best of two worlds by making a power rankings power ranking and a poll about it. Enjoy!

In the second round, the*Saints*went with a big corner in*Stanley Jean-Baptiste. Too bad they didn't have the 6-3, 218-pounder covering onthat Kenbrell Thompkins disaster at Gillette last year. Tell me*that*ending*wasn't a dry shave for*Saints*fans.
AAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHH! I get angry everytime I have to remember that B.S. How about the refs call the hold when Galette was on to bury the golden child. Or the refs ignoring Drew calling time out or the fact they didn't make a catch or about a dozen other calls that cost us. And breath |

per WalterFootball.com
"5. New Orleans Saints (11-5) - Previously: 5. I love how Drew Brees was pissed that the Saints traded away Darren Sproles. Maybe this wouldn't have happened if, I don't know, he didn't sign a $100 million contract with $40 million guaranteed. Brees could have taken something like $85 million and $32 million guaranteed to have a better supporting cast. Sure, losing $8 million guaranteed hurts, but having an upgraded team means more shots at the Super Bowl, which translates into more endorsements. And that means recouping any lost money. I don't get how athletes don't understand this concept. " Wow, someone not of Saints Crusade actually gets it... |

You can have a 50m guaranteed 5 year/100M contract with no signing bonus to prorate, and as long as that player makes 50m before that contract is up, it doesn't matter when he gets paid.. That contract could be paid out in 10m/year cap hit.. |

NFL.coms power rankings are the worst, not first. It's just a blatant plajurization of the weekly standings based off wins and loses.
Walter Football is the only publication that uses real logic behind ranking the teams based off of who would win head to head matchups on neutral fields, coming from the opinion of a well informed writer who obviously watches ALL the games. Agree or disagree with his rankings, at least they are logical. |
