The Boston college OLB also not listed on nfl saints site so as jimmy not signed i think active roster at 86 players so there are 4 spots for tryout players to be signed with out having to cut a player. The one tryout player who stands out is#75 OC/Sampson Setele-Hawaii-last years colts starting center-age29.

Samson Satele isn't very good, but since we're still trying to sort out the center position as well as O-Line depth it doesn't hurt to take a look at a guy with lots of starting experience.

Satele may not be the best but could be as good as Goodwin at age 35 Sampson is 29 an may be cheaper as Saints have hardly any cap space. He would be a vet back up for Letio with starting expreience.

Does not look like the man to even back up the back up

A cut and paste from a Article on Feb 2013 on Andrew Luck suffering 40 sacks in 2012

Samson Satele was one of the worst starters in the NFL, finishing 33rd in ProFootballFocus' grading systems for centers. He ended the season with the worst Pass Block Efficiency (pressures surrendered per snap) among starting centers in the league.

GOODBYE, SAMSON SATELE

Well, Colts fans, it’s time to become serious about those dreams of a new solution at center. Indianapolis has released starter Samson Satele. Cutting Satele will save the Colts $3,999,999 in cap space (with just over $1 million in dead money, that’s really the number). Yes, it's time to say goodbye.

Fans have been calling for Satele’s release for quite some time, and the Colts’ letting him go indicates they now have a plan in place for his replacement.

Satele struggled at times in pass coverage, but his biggest issue in 2013 was run blocking. Big nose tackles tended to manhandle the Colts’ starting center, and he had trouble finding anyone to block or double team against 4-3 fronts.

Satele took a beating in run blocking to the tune of a -12.1 Pro Football Focus grade and managed a positive score of 0.8 in pass protection. That was good for 31st in the league among centers (not counting the playoffs, when Satele actually fared well).

The Colts are officially moving on. There are a few prospects in the draft, and they may have long-term plans for Khaled Holmes. However, it’s still quite likely Indianapolis will seek out a proven veteran to avoid going into the 2014 season with an untested second year player at the top of the depth chart. If they don’t sign anyone, it’s a strong statement of their faith in Holmes.

Whatever Ryan Grigson's plan is, it's time to say, "Goodbye, Samson." He's probably a great guy, and we wish him all the best in the sometimes cruel world of the NFL and beyond. But for the fans who've been calling for his departure, there shall be no more of this:

Let's just hope whoever comes in to replace him is truly an upgrade.
