Brandin Cooks sigsn 4 year deal
The club announced Sunday it had reached a deal with wide receiver Brandin Cooks, the No. 20 overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft.
As with all first-round deals, Cooks received a four-year contract, but the Saints will later have the option to add a fifth year to the deal. The 5-foot-10, 184-pound Cooks caught 226 passes for 3,272 yards and 24 touchdowns at Oregon State (2011-2013). The Saints traded their first-round pick (No. 27) and third-round selection (No. 91) to Arizona to move up seven spots to select Cooks, who is likely to see immediate playing time for New Orleans.
