Running back Pierre Thomas is accustomed to doubts. Too small and not fast enough, analysts told him all the way to the NFL.
Those criticisms prepared Thomas for this offseason: The Saints placed him on the trading block but never moved him, creating the potential of animosity in his relationship with the team. So far, it hasn’t. Instead, Thomas enters next week’s veteran minicamp ready to accomplish what he feels he has always done — prove doubters wrong, 1 yard at a time. “I just sat back and waited to see what they wanted to do,” Thomas, 29, said this week about the possibility of being traded. He just extended until 2016, we traded Sproles, and he caught 77 passes last year.
What exactly is he fighting for? |

Don't expect much of a run game again this year. So PT will play his usual role. Besides, it isn't like they brought in any competition.

The UDFA Tim Flanders is one to watch. I completely disagree that we will not get yards running this year. We have a nice quartet there and need to see what Cadet and the UDFA can do.

Insurance policy if Ingram or Robinson can't get it done. I understand it. I just hope the horrible one back per play rotation ends.
