Things to Look Forward To: Terron Armstead and the Saints Rushing Offense

Terron Armstead refused to give up a single pressure in the final game of the New Orleans Saints season even when matched up with productive pass-rushers in Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett. With four starts
under his belt, should Saints fans be looking for a big year from the second-year left tackle? In short: yes

We always seem to nail the third round. This was the only thing I didn't like about our move up during the draft.

If you read the article in details it brings up some good points. Especially how running behing Armstead the rushing attack is rejuvinated and the fact that he didn't give up a single pressure during the playoff lose to Seattle. That speaks volumes for his talent and improvement upon being inserted into the starting lineup.

Armstead play on the oL is the key for this unit. till we see what develops at center the last thing we need to do is have one of the guards baby sitting him all season. they might have their hands full in the middle

When you play solid ball in the playoffs it most cases it should remove most of the doubt, especially when it's a chain of them.

It's a high stress, hi visibility game and your opponents are playoff caliber.

It's interesting how perception changes with nothing having happened to change it. At the end of the season he was a huge question mark and we needed to draft a LT, now he's more of a "hope he doesn't prove us wrong".

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the progress he makes this year. I expect to see him start to dominate at that LT position and if Grubbs can elevate his play in his 3rd year here that line is gonna shock some people.

I think we have a lot to look forward too. I'm looking forward to a to a whole new offensive philosophy. Gonna be cool to se Payton with a new look.

LT is considered to be the most important OL postion in most offenses, however it's more the guard and center in ours. Yes, we did score with Armistead, but the center position still really concerns me. I'm not excited with us passing up a near sure center in the draft for a might-be corner back -just because he's big. I'm also not convinced we'll ever be a running team under Sean.

We won't ever be a "running team" with Drew Brees and that's how it should be.

I will say I feel a little bit better about Armstead right now as a young player than I did about Bushrod. Bushrod was more of a right tackle type, Armstead is a left side guy all the way.
