Saints sign tackle Jason Weaver
The New Orleans Saints signed offensive tackle Jason Weaver and waived receiver Chris Givens, the team announced on Tuesday.
Weaver, a former Edna Karr player, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2013 and spent training camp with the Cincinnati Bengals last year. He spent the regular season on the Miami Dolphins practice squad. The 6-foot-5, 305 pound Weaver started his college career at Arizona Western Community College before transferring to Southern Mississippi after two seasons. He started 27 games for Southern Miss and earned second-team All-Conference USA honors in 2012. He was an honorable mention selection in 2013. Other than Armstead, Strief and Harris none of the other kids taking up oxygen are going to make the squad at the bookends... |
Re: Saints sign tackle Jason Weaver
released on a non football injury clause. Dolphins reject on the OL does not give me much hope. If you can not make the dolphins as an OL player there must be an issue with you.
well lets see what we got but keep looking at that waiver wire |
