Peter King - Not a Friend of SP
I think it is funny. There are many reasons to ban King from any further reporting. :D
"12. Regrets? You’ll probably say, “The Saints’ bounty story.” Nope. I don’t regret a syllable of it. Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis and Gregg Williams and Jonathan Vilma should be mad at themselves, not at me, for not stopping it before it got out of control. I’d love to have a relationship with smart men and brilliant coaches like Belichick and Payton again, but these things happen in this business." "These things happen in business"
You mean reporting something that you had no proof of and no proof has ever been presented from the apparent 10,000 pages of documents they "found" |
Re: Peter King - Not a Friend of SP
Now wait just one damn minute here! I get in all kinds of trouble for posting a picture of a beautiful woman showing just a little too much skin and you're allowed to post a picture of that?
There's something very wrong with this country... |
Re: Peter King - Not a Friend of SP
Peter King is a poor excuse for a journalist these days. He was once a great writer, now he's just a lazy old turd stealing his paycheck.
If he doesn't regret it, then why is it listed in his "regret" column. Seems to me if he really didn't regret it, it never would've occurred to him to put it there. |

And Peter King drank the Goodell Kool-Aid the entire time. He's a sorry excuse for a journalist. |

Re: Peter King - Not a Friend of SP
17. Best story: The Saints. Everything about the rise of the Saints from the depths of Katrina to Super Bowl champs is good—for the community, for the spirit, for sports. I’ll never forget Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis going to a Habitat for Humanity building site in the Lower Ninth Ward the day before the Reggie Bush draft, to boost spirits of the volunteer builders … and President Bush showed up. “How about this?” Bush said, greeting Payton. “A 42-year-old guy from Eastern Illinois, coaching the Saints, living his dream!” Cool stuff, all of it. And New Orleans is still wedded to the Saints unlike any other city south of Green Bay is to its team.

Re: Peter King - Not a Friend of SP
He's been trying to get back in Payton/Loomis' good graces for quite some time now. He's lying to himself if he says he doesn't regret it one bit.
