Drew Brees - “Obviously, they’re a big NFC contender now, so it seems like we’ve played some big games against them over the last seven years. But anytime you go back into that environment playing against that team, that kind of thing certainly provides a little extra motivation.”

What the??? Perhaps if Drew were more motivated the past 8 seasons we would have more than just 1 Superbowl. ;)

Motivation has never been Mark Ingram's problem.

That remains to be seen, sadly. Prove us wrong Mr Ingram.

What remains to be seen?

When have you seen Mark Ingram not motivated?

We lost that Seattle game because of turnovers, thanks Mark.

I do hope he can stay healthy this season, because that to me has been one of the biggest things keeping him from really aaserting himself as a starter and dominant runner.

If they do play him more, they also need to use him more as a pass target as well, so that it won't be as obvious as it has been that if Ingram lines up in the backfield he'll either block or run the ball.

We lost that game the same way we lost in San Fran.
Collectively we dug too big a hole to get out of before turning up to play. Plenty of reasons to be optimistic though.

Every player starts the season with a clean slate in my book.
