Brees < Brady

Really curious. I understand that he has all of the Super Bowl rings but is that all there is to it? His numbers don't really add up to Brees. For that matter neither does Manning s numbers. It has to be their height. I would put Brees ahead but not in the "gap" that the NFL puts him. Meh, I don't know. I would even put Rodgers ahead of him.

"It's beyond ridiculous," Cleveland Browns coach Pettine told MMQB.com's Greg Bedard. "Top five? I mean, to me, it's one and two (Brady and Peyton Manning) and then there's a gap and then it's probably (Drew) Brees and (Aaron) Rodgers would be three and four, however you want to order them. Until those two (Brady and Manning) retire, they'll be one and two and then there will be a gap."

Brady got lucky with that leaders on defense and won superbowls early. People talk about Manning and his playoff struggles but after that early success same could be said about Brady.

Brady and Manning are 0-2 in their last 2 Super Bowl appearances.

Brees is 1-0

What makes yet another coach of the Browns such an expert? Shouldn't he be working on his resume for his next job?

Re: Brees < Brady

I don't listen to this type of BS. IMO, go ask the coaches of the NFC South who's the most dangerous. They'll have a different or slightly different order with no "gap".

Temper Tantrums:

Manning - Too many to count
Brady- Too many to count
Brees- 0

Re: Brees < Brady

I'd say Brady's definitely had the better career, and if I made a "greatest QBs ever" list, I'd have Brady ahead of Brees. With that being said though, I don't think he's better than Brees currently. If you watched Brady last year, his arm didn't look as strong and accurate as in years past. Especially towards the end of the year. I think he's probably still a top 5 QB in the league, but he's slowly losing it IMO.

Re: Brees < Brady

Career? Yes Brady, Manning then Brees

2014? I must say its a toss up. All 3 could carry their teams to the title, and you can add Rodgers to that as well.

I have no problem with his ranking, but the drop-off from Brady/Manning to Brees/Rogers is non-existent. They are all 4 basically on the same level going into 2014.

IMO they are neck-and-neck. If you're looking at career accomplishment you have to go with Brady. If I had to pick one right now to go with, I'd go Brees, just because he is a better athlete.

Why isn't skid britches on anyone's list?

I thought he was supposed to be the second coming of Montana?!

Thats real smart to piss Brees off so maybe he will throw 6 TDs when he comes to Cleveland. Then again he may figure to be fired by the time of the Saints game.

Re: Brees < Brady

Brees has also faced much more adversity. Major injury early was not suppose to comeback at all, a destroyed city, a witch hunt that went on for over a year with no coach. All great QB's without question but I give Brees the nod considering those facts.

You mean extra motivation for Drew?

Interesting.

Actually, he coached the Ravens... They just hadn't changed their name yet.

difference? Brady has never been through the complete a building of a team like Drew. thats it. Tom was given a championship team right out of the gates and that is were all the rings came from.

Drew got a mess.

I have no problem putting Manning and Brady ahead of Brees, however it is NOT by a wide margin.

I'd love to agree, but I disagree. Patriots were inept when Bledsoe was QB. Patriots without Brady would be average if that.

The only gap that exists is the one between this guy's ears. And thats one lonely desolate stretch of emptiness.

There is way too much debate about this. I'm honestly fine with his name anywheres in the top 5.
Over the past 3 years a play here and there Brees could easily have an additional 2 rings.

Look at the year Brady was out
His team still won a lot of games

Afc east?
Afc opponents?

A few of theur superbowls were low scoring feild goal wonders

Brady pouting on the sideline is quite a site
No wonder his teamates keep their distance

Brees is a lot classier and less into himself

He's automatically awesome in the eyes of ESPN cause he drafted Johnny Football.

Re: Brees < Brady

Brady and the Patriots have a better road record and a better record outdoors in the elements. Period. End of discussion. That is the difference. Until Brees improves his road record, against teams with winning records, he will always be considered third and fourth and fifth fiddle to Brady, Manning, Rodgers, and these other QBs. Brady is GOAT material and look at his road playoff and bad weather record in the AFC East to prove it. Rodgers won an entire Super Bowl campaign on the road without a single home gamee. Brees in the playoffs on the road? His numbers there speak for themselves.
