Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
|
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
Would that give us a matching number of CBs and safeties? Anyone for a 1-10 defense? That would keep our DL verrrry fresh...
|
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
If we can afford him, **** yeah.
|
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
We don't have the cap space and the secondary is already crowded; I don't think it's a good idea
|
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
Somebody will overpay for his services. It won't be us.

Sign him with what? Monopoly money?
We are only 1 mil below the cap and jimmys deal is yet to get sorted |

Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
Absolutely no chance in hell that this guy ends up in black and gold. We're loaded at the position for now, and we're cash strapped. We may end up adding an offensive tackle for depth....particularly at LT, but I think everything else is a done deal, barring any injuries, of course.
|
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
I compare this to Sproles situation. Salary, age, less effective... Someone will have unrealistic expectations and overpay this guy.
|
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
Champ Bailey is cheaper and just as effective.
|
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
Injury bug is catching up to him. But if we view our super bowl window as closing with each passing year because of Drews age then to make the move might be in the cards. as for the cap it would be all up to Mickey to pull another rabbit out his hat to sign him.
myself i would stay with what we got but if the saints did make the move i can see why. the window is closing in their opinion. |

PFT is reporting the Falcons are interested in Flowers.

Yeah, they've got a lot of holes to fill. I feel really bad for them. (I knew I couldn't type that with a straight face) |
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
Pioli working for the Failclowns makes it almost a sure thing that Flowers will join his former teammates on the Atlanta Chiefs. Seems like their whole offseason plan was to sign 700 nickel corners and defensive tackles.

We're Loaded; Lets See It Develops...
What does that mean? Does that mean yes or no? Terribly worded No, But There Still Other Positions of Concern... Again, what does "No, But There Still Other Positions of Concern..." mean? That doesn't make any sense at all. We've Got The Roster, It's Time to Make It Happen! What in the world does that this mean? Does it mean yes, make it happen or No, we're already set roster wise? Terribly worded and confusing. This might be the worst poll I've ever read in my entire life. |
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
This poll is fine. The only thing that's missing is Bacon, or a Shrimp Po' Boy now that I think about it.
Remember, polls aren't supposed to make sense. Most things aren't supposed to make sense.... |

We can't afford the man. It's that simple.

He's also a zone CB who struggles in man and press. |
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
Did someone say Houston got released from Detroit?
|
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
I read last month that he graded out as the 97th CB in the league. If he was any good, he'd still be a Chief. Pass.

As far as the Saints, I think Rob Ryan is going to play press coverage most of the time, and I don't think Flowers is press man corner (he is better in zone or off-man). So I don't think we could make use of his services. |

Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
Flowers was atrocious last season and he's only 28 years old. That's a huge red flag for me especially with the salary he's likely to command. His skill set doesn't really fit here imo. Somewhere like Tampa would be an ideal landing spot for him.
I am more than comfortable with what we have. I want P-Rob to lockdown that #2 spot. I looking forward into seeing what Ryan can mold P-Rob in to. |
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
Flowers has bloomed already... and is wilting at the stem. Pass, especially since the Chiefs passed on him.
|
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
Flowers is a cover corner, and a good one. He was under a new system last year that was not suited to his abilites, as he is not a press corner.
Flowers will go to a team where his skills will be used, and that being said it will not be the Saints, first for Cap reasons and second Rob Ryan demands versatilty from his DB's which seems to be a problem for Flowers. |
Re: Chiefs Release CB Brandon Flowers
The falcons think they have this one all but gift wrapped
should be interesting to see how this plays out |
