Payton says sex is OK for Saints
Good news for Saints players — it’s OK to be a little naughty during offseason training activities.
Coach Sean Payton said as much when asked Thursday afternoon about the World Cup debate regarding extracurricular activities with wives and girlfriends. Former Saints great Bobby Hebert, a sports radio host of WWL-AM 870 in New Orleans, told Payton that Mexico coach Miguel Herrera bars it, saying if his players can't go 21 days without sex, they aren't professionals. Jurgen Klinsmann, coach of the U.S. team, took a more liberal approach, saying it’s not a big deal. Brazilian coach Luiz Felipe "Felipao" Scolari offered the most comical answer — as long as it’s not acrobatic and could possibly lead to injury. As Hebert offered Payton background on the subject, Payton’s face began to wrinkle, as it often does when asked probing questions during his daily press briefings. Payton finally worked his way through a wordy answer, saying, "Um, I’m OK with whatever we’ve been doing." Link Back | |
