He seemed to have a particular liking for teams with birds on their helmets.

Thanks for the post. It'd make me ready for some real football if I wasn't having so much fun this summer.

This man is going to set up some nice play action bombs.

Re: Khiry Robinson-THE BEAST

Some runningbacks have the uncanny ability to get what I call "hidden yardage"

the play starts and your reaction is there isn't much room, then the runningback manages to get 5 or 6 yards and carry a couple of tacklers with him

thats why khiry reminds me so much of PT in how he runs, does not go down easy and manages to pick up extra yardage when it looks like there is none

If Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory had a baby, it'd be Khiry Robinson.

hold onto the ball
learn to pick up the blitz
get involved in the passing game

kids has a long way to go. it should be interesting to watch the dreaded second season unfold. second season for young RB have a history of being pretty bad. here to what i hope is an acceptation to the rule.

Khiry Robinson- Stiff arm - YouTube

Not a bad comparison with Curtis Martin.

Re: Khiry Robinson-THE BEAST

Speed plus power. He almost always falls forward. I didn't take notice but I don't think I saw any solo tackles in that clip. He has to be gang tackled and like dizzle said he still manages an extra 2-5 yards even with a crowd trying to bring him down. His leg strength must be off the charts.

He's the perfect example of football speed versus 40 yard dash time.

His 40 was a pretty slow 4.71 (one was even timed at 4.86).

I think we can all agree he doesn't look that slow on the field.

I think his decisiveness is what makes him look quicker, he takes the handoff, then one cut and he's heading upfield

he reacts very quickly to his blockers

Good point Diz. There have been a lot of RB's who didn't possess world class speed but because they made quick decisions and had a quick burst it made them seem faster than they were.

The guy he's been compared to - curtis martin is the perfect example of that, not a blazing runner but he made quick decisions and hit the hole with decisiveness and power

Never gonna make u forget Deuce but no one found much running room last year. Maybe behind our new fullback and with Cooks stretching the field somebody can break a few 30+ yd runs. I think Tampa mighta had 3 backs tally near 200 yd games running behind him.

He also has a killer spin move. The vision of KR has been very impressive thus far.

love Khiry the first time I saw him run
Damn, another Chris Ivory

Love his unassuming nature

If Ingram would spent more effort running and less smacking his hands when he misses breaking one or can't find the ball/hole/etc., maybe he could follow suite

Effort is not, and never has been a problem for Ingram. Where do you guys come up with this nonsense?

perhaps effort was the wrong word

I don't like Ingram constantly being demonstrative when he doesn't make the play. just get up, dust yourself off and focus

Agreed, but you can say the exact same thing about Jimmy Graham, Lance Moore, Kenny Stills, Kenny Vaccaro, and about 70% of the NFL.

Graham and Moore do it when they make the play for the most part
Ingram when he doesn't

Moore is a little too showboat for my tastes

I'd love to see everyone on our team like Keenan Lewis and Colston

silent graceful warriors

let your play do your talking

And notice that he's pummeling some pretty good defenses in those highlights.
His balance is outstanding, dare I say PT-like.
