They keep signing our cast offs and they'll definitely keep staying a couple of steps behind us.

Good for him. I hope he was able to use up as much of their cap as possible.

I'm glad he caught on with another team. Sorry for him that it had to be with the pigeons. He must be pretty hard up. I hope drugs aren't involved.

I wonder if he cries the first time he dons the FailClowns uniform?

I don't see how this helps them at all. Will be 32 in January and sat out of football all last season

He was a good here on ST in my book!! ST has been lacking a good bit lately. I would like to see a few TD's every now and then by ST, a game sealer wouldn't hurt, 7 points is 7 points. It also wouldn't hurt if we had an automatic kicker either!!

It's been lacking for a while now and Roby was part of those lackluster ST units, though he was an above average gunner.

McM needs to rework his methods or be gone.

Believe it or not we just drafted 3 players who'll upgrade our special teams.

Dramatically.

Disagree. I hope he makes the team by some miracle. He was out of the game last year. He has no ties to the Saints, nor their current playbook. He was a really solid guy and if he has a little left then good for him.

Did they sign Vilma and will he be the starter week 1?

No. And there is no way they will. He couldn't pass their tryout. I love the man, but he is past his playing days.

Solid player. Hopes he makes their cut and earns some more coin. There was a point where I thought he could break into the WR role but it never materialized. As long as we keep greasing the skids and they keep skid britches we will continue to roll on em.

So they signed a new special teamer. Good for him.
Yawn!

...if they are able to stay on the field.

Still, it can't be all about the players - I'd put much of the responsibility on the coach. Especially since there's been changes to the ST roster along the years but the results have pretty much stayed the same.

+1 and no doubt. McM is on a very short leash this season.

Improve or bye, bye.

He must've started with a leash the length of I-70 as long as they've kept him around.

I am happy for him. His first love will always be the Saints. You can't blame a guy for playing for the team that gives him a shot or the best deal. Its nothing personal.
That's why I was mortified when some of our fans booed Morton Anderson.

Dude's gotta have a job and it's not like he left the Saints in bad blood or something. I honestly always thought he had a little more to give as a wide receiver than we really ever gave him the chance to show. Always looked good out there. Fine player, best of luck to him.

Good for Roby. I always liked the guy. He was scrappy and feisty, and he fought his way onto the field, by basically doing pretty much anything the coaches asked him to do, to make it onto a roster in the NFL.

Oh, and don't sweat it, McMahon's not going anywhere. Not anytime soon.

Would have liked to have seen him go to any other team, but yeah it's a business and you go where there is a job.

Always liked having him on our special teams. Glad he got on, sucks that it is with the Falcons but hey he might get some TV time on Hard Knocks.
